I am writing to report a horrible abuse of my elderly mother she is 82 years old and just recently been Went thru chemo .My complaint is to hopefully help another elderly person from being abused financially and trust wise .My mother has had a hard time walking after her treatment and she went to DR *** A *** DPM that practices at Perfect Feet Care in Hialeah .He told my mother she needed a special foot insole that would be special made for her BUT her insurance would not cover it $350 dollars is the cost .They than told her not to worry she could apply for a special credit card that is offered to elderly and she could pay it off 20 dollars at a time .My mother first of all is not doing well to make a decision like this they never told her terms never told her 29 %percent interest rate and the worse part is they never even took a gel imprint for these insoles that is required .When I found out about this I called the credit card to report this was all done under false pretenses and my mother is not capable of paying or applying for a card .They told us it was in the hands of the doctor the doctor insisted she pay for this much back and forth all remained the same when my mother finally gave in and went to get the $350 insole she was given a generic insole that was predone .I took her to a reputable company who told us that the insole is not a custom one and that she had sadly been taken advantage of . We have tried to speak nicely and patiently to this business and they just don't care .The last straw was to show this insole to her actual doctor and a very reputable business who actually took imprints of my mother's feet and be told she had been taken advantage of .Its already difficult to see our parents become old and frail but for them to be fianacial abused is just sad and unexceptionable.Please help us make this right at least for other elderly patients that will walk into this establishment
