Perfection Hardwood Floors

Review: Perfection Hardwood Floors was contracted to install hardwood flooring trim, bead board, and crown molding in sunroom, and finish hardwood floors to resemble closely as possible existing floors (2500). Originally, they polyurethaned raw hardwood floor (grayish white), and no attempt was made to match existing floors (amber). When owner, [redacted], came over to collect money on Dec 3, 2015, I complained and he told me that floors needed to age. I paid him $2000 to cover the materials but withheld $500 until dispute resolution. [redacted] indicated they would need additional payment to refinish floors, which I didn't agree too. I contacted real estate agent and found out that existing floors were installed in 2011 (I bought house in 2014). I informed [redacted] that it wouldn't be possible for floors to change color that quickly; existing floors have an even amber color throughout, including in closets. At this point, I still owed [redacted] $500 and [redacted] agreed to refinish the floors. He asked me to get the information from the previous company on the materials used. I identified through real estate agent and contacted [redacted] who used [redacted] wax-free and a water-based polyurethane. I informed [redacted] and a crew came into refinish the floors on Dec 13. [redacted] was not present during the execution of the jobs. While I was there on Dec 13, I informed the crew that the new application of the shellac looked splotchy. There was very dark and very light areas on the floor. The crew supervisor informed me that the floor needed buffing and it would be fine. I paid the supervisor the remaining $500. The splotchiness didn't change and on Dec 19, I informed [redacted]. [redacted] originally agreed that he would finish floors a third time but I needed to get the right materials. I informed [redacted], correct materials were used based on information from [redacted] but the application was uneven and maybe didn't dry long enough. [redacted] has stopped responding to my texts and callsDesired Settlement: All labor was completed to install materials. The flooring needs to be refinished in order to correct the very dark and very light splotches on the newly installed flooring. Potentially two options: 1) Perfection Hardwood Flooring refinishes the floor to correct the issue. 2) Perfection refunds enough money to cover [redacted] to refinish the floors. I'm open to other suggestions.
