(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
It is hard to respond to Performance Auto's statement when the issues presented in my letter of complaint were not addressed Performance Auto (PA) is incorrect when they state that they had not done work in my car for two years They replaced the catalytic converter on November 05, which means, it should still be under warranty PA is also incorrect when they indicate that the complaint is due to the parts not being ** *** parts The complaint is because PA was not able to fix the car and continued to replace parts that were not the correct ones In addition, PA is also incorrect when they say that I have been taking the car to a specialty shop for two years I towed the car to The German Car Shoppe on June 12, when PA was not able to fix it The car stayed there until November 19, This is when I had the evidence that the problem was not the car but the mechanic, and decided to file this complaint That "the parts either fit or they don't" is not the problem The problem is that the car was not running The spreadsheet in my original letter details the lack of knowledge and workmanship on the part of PA Even though I understand that the amount of $1,is a reasonable amount, in the spirit of good faith, I am willing to accept $1,for the parts/work on the fuel pump, the catalytic converter, and the broken fuse cover In addition, I want the warranty papers for the alternator installed by PA

Customer wants to be refunded the sum of $1,789 for work that had been done over the span of five years. The customer has not had work done at Performance Auto for two years prior to this complaint. This complaint is due to the parts not being [redacted] parts. Customer did not specify she wanted...

** parts and was informed that new after-market parts were used for repairs on the vintage gray market Mercedes from Germany. Due to the gray market status of the car many parts for the car were not available or back ordered from Germany (years out). Customer was informed prior to all repairs and approved all repairs before any work being performed that the parts were not ** and they after-market. Customer has been taking the car to a Mercedes specialty shop for the last two years. Performance Auto has not performed any repairs on this car for at least two years. The Mercedes specialty shop is telling the customer that performance auto put wrong parts on the car. Parts either fit or they don't even when they are after-market.
