Review: I contracted a job with Performance Auto Sound for Exterior under carriage led lights / under dash led lights and 4 upgraded speakers. [redacted] is the install technician for the job; we spoke extensively about the job, where the lights were to go; the cost and the date for the installation? He scheduled me a week ahead, on January 7, 2016. This was 1of 2 days needed. January 12 at 230pm and Jan.15 at 9am-230pm. When I arrived at the shop at 6pm om Jan 12, [redacted] had only put 1 row of exterior lights on, out of 4, and 1 string of interior lights. His excuse was that he had other jobs to finish, he also stated that "he would have everything finished up on January, 2016". On the morning of January 14, I spoke with him in the store after visiting Radio shack for blue led switches for the interior controls., during that conversation he offered to use the extra lengths from the Blue lights to light up my trunk, he then suggested that I tip him out 50.00 to do this "extra" work. I found this unprofessional.

[redacted] told me that he was going to get the lights finished and the speaker installation done and for me to return on January 15, 2016 to complete the install. I left the car there at 7am , January 15. I told [redacted] that I need my car back by 230pm , he assured me it would be done, I called at 1pm on the 15th, and he said he needed the car till 6pm as he had not started on it yet because of other jobs he had scheduled ahead of me. I called at 630pm after having to break a date with my girlfriend since he still needed to finish the install, he said" that the exterior lights that were ordered UPS and came in as Red, not Blue, this was his excuse why he couldn't finish the exterior light. I felt that this was a lie, because he stated “he had extra” the day before, we also discussed using the extra blue lights on the phone later that morning, doing a install behind the front grill instead of the trunk, he disagreed and said the ambient lights were enough in front and the trunk was a better idea.. He delivered my vehicle at 830pm January 15, 2016 with only 2 new speakers, out of the 4, installed and 1 row of interior lights wired.

The 2 switches that were supposed to light up on the dash to control the interior and exterior lights did not light up; he failed to call me before installation and tell me; I thought we could try to find something else that would work. I thought he should have contacted me knowing that this was something I wanted. So, he started asking me to cancel my medical appointments at the VA so he could finish everything up. His choice was another week away since he was booked up solid. He wanted to work on it on Friday January 22, 2016. I said” I could leave the car there from 7am to 230pm”, He said that “he would try to cancel his morning appointments so he could finish and would call me if he could fit me in”. I want to add another thing, [redacted] wanted me to sign off on my bill Friday January 15, 2016 early before all of the completion was done, so he could get his commission check that week. I felt intimidated, pushed around, lied too, and manipulated, meaning he was trying to do an installation that "He" felt was better. This was accented by a phone call to me wanting to Not do the rear exterior lights but wire for a sub-woofer in the trunk instead., I expressed to him to NOT put a sub-woofer days before, until I heard the bass in the new speakers. I no longer trust him, he is working on my brand new 2015 Camaro, It's a 35,000 car and I need someone to trust, he also asked me if he could solder scrapes pieces together to make a row, this made me feel like he wasn't doing a "good installation" I wanted this to go smoothly and done right, I have no idea what is going on with my vehicle. I can't understand why this has become a side job for [redacted]? Why other customers that are scheduled after me get finished first? I will be perusing a legal lawsuit, if this is not resolveDesired Settlement: My installation completed now, and provide me with a rental car until done , not a week away., A complete" itemized" break down of all charges, a look at the UPS signed sheet from Performance Auto showing delivery of RED LED lights on Jan 15th ,2016, instead of Blue. A discount of 50% on my bill and a apology.
