Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
This is an example of a greedy business preying on the elderly.  All I wanted was the car to start reliably.  I did not ask for an oil change and all the other items that the business "upsold" me on to make more money.  As evidenced on the invoice, this is a 15 year old car with only 53,000 miles on it.  I am 89 years old and do not drive if there is even a hint of moisture on the roads, so the need for snow tires is not there at all.  Another example of the business "piling on" unnecessary items to gouge people.  The tires on the car were not 70% worn at all.  They had less than 4,000 miles on them and still, to this day, have 90% of their original tread depth. We have the sales receipt from Tire World and documentation of the mileage of the tires that were on the car. This business is totally without a moral backbone and will take advantage of those without any mechanical/automotive knowledge for their own benefit.  To take advantage of an old woman is particularly shameful.
Regards,
[redacted]

I recently used Performance Auto to repair my 2004 F150 FX4. They were very quick to provide me a diagnostic of the problem and quote me a price. They were friendly and informative throughout the process and the pricing was very fair based on the amount of problems and extent of damage they had to repair. The owner was very professional and polite and made sure my truck was very well taken care of. I would recommend this shop to others needing help with their vehicles. I plan on taking my truck and car there for all of my repair and tune up needs.

First, let me state that I have been in business for 36 years and I have no complaints concerning my business here at 941 Ridge Road in Webster, NY. Ms. [redacted] brought her vehicle into my facility with a complaint of difficulty in starting.  I looked over the vehicle and in addition to advising...

her that her vehicle would need a new battery I also gave her a list of recommendations. Keep in mind that the vehicle was brought in to my facility during the first week of January, 2015. I recommended to her that the car could use a new set of tires, an oil change and inspection of all vehicle fluids, and a vehicle cleaning.  The tires I recommended were snow tires, due to the time of year, and to obtain a set of summer tires when the season had ended.  All of the recommendations that I made in regards to her vehicle were in the interest of keeping her and her vehicle safe and operational. In my professional opinion, the tires that were currently on Ms. [redacted]’s vehicle were of poor quality and inadequate to provide safe and reliable transportation for her during the winter months additionally they were 70% worn and at least five years old. After I made these recommendations Ms. [redacted] called me back and approved the additional repairs.  I obtained for her (as documented on her repair order which I have attached for your perusal) four (4) [redacted] tires in addition to replacement of the vehicle battery, an oil change, and an examination and topping off of all vehicle vital fluids. Ms. [redacted] then arrived to pick up her vehicle after I called her with the work completed. Under no circumstances did I ‘strong arm’ or otherwise coerce her into having repairs performed on her vehicle.  I explained everything in the best manner I could and, quite frankly, I treated her like I would my own mother.  I also offered to store old tires here at my facility over the remaining winter months.  I recall (as best possible) that she called me back in February of 2015 and wanted me to buy her tires back.  I explained to her that I wasn’t in the business of buying used tires.  She then showed up in person at my shop to plead her case.  At this time she was accompanied by a stated family member. They then asked for their old tires and I gave them the tires that came off of Ms. [redacted]’s vehicle prior.  Once again, the reason for selling Ms. [redacted] new tires was that her old ones were about 70% worn.  I did not give them back tires that were not off of her vehicle. I would like to wrap this up by stating that the person who accompanied Ms. [redacted] should be ashamed of himself. He never saw the original condition of the tires and, in fact, I suspect that he never really examined the condition of Ms. [redacted]’s vehicle at length prior to her vehicle coming into my facility.  If he were really looking out for Ms. [redacted]’s well being he would never have let her drive on the prior tires in the first place, let alone in the winter weather and at her advanced age.  The tires were at least five years old and perhaps Ms. [redacted] can come up with the receipt of the tires that were on the car so we can see what, if anything, can be done about them. If you require any further information regarding this I will try to provide it to the best of my recollection.

vehicle never had cold ac and was brought back on july 10th and was never fixed the y never said anything about recharging and a $10 charge because they have never called us back and the person who responded to this complaint tom we never spoke to or heard of as far as the second paragraph on june 29th I was asked to put a deposit so they could start repair on the 2 vehicles we were going to buy we did buy the first one (nothing was ever said as to refundable or not ) who is going to pay for repairs before they even see or drive a car... and we did state that we did absolutely have every intention of buying the second car until we actually got see it and on the hood of the car in deep scratches were the words [redacted] You and my husband said they need to buff it out before he even thought about taking the car... I think at that point my husband and [redacted] had some heated words and we left.... then [redacted] harassed my husband and told him the owner would not sell that car to him because he could not afford to at the pre-agreed upon price and we continued to try to get the air conditioning fixed and no one would call us back the last date I believe we spoke to anyone was july 17thalso when we finally got to drive the car Well all they do is keep mentioning you and the repairs and they never completed all the repairs because the f word was still there and we couldn't open the passengers doors or the trunk and here were no seat belts when we finally got to drive the car several weeks later
