through written signature by [redacted], the owner of [redacted]. It’s the position of Performance Building Products, Inc. that our customer involving proposal #[redacted] and subsequent invoice #[redacted] was [redacted], not the property owner and complainant [redacted].   During the job-site inspection 08/13/16 between Performance Building Products, Inc. and [redacted], the issue of needing opener safety sensor low-voltage wiring was addressed. When explained to [redacted] that Performance Building Products, Inc. can complete the low-voltage wiring he responded that he wasn’t going to pay for something he could provide himself and declined to have it added to proposal #[redacted]. It was verbally agreed with [redacted] during acceptance of proposal #[redacted] that the required low-voltage wiring would be provided by someone other than Performance Building Products, Inc. Upon arrival of the scheduled installation 09/09/16 it was determined that the low-voltage wiring had not been completed. All four garage doors were fully installed and the two openers were partially installed but could not be finalized due to the missing low-voltage wiring. The garage doors with openers were left in manual operation.   [redacted] contacted Performance Building Products, Inc. 03/22/17 stating that [redacted] reported one of the openers wasn’t working properly. Service technicians arrived the same day and found the openers operational with the safety sensors temporally wired on top of the motor-head unit. After leaving the job-site [redacted] was notified a service charge would apply to complete the proper low-voltage wiring. He stated that he would contact [redacted] and take care of the problem. [redacted] did not update or contact Performance Building Products, Inc. on the status of the service request after 03/22/17. [redacted] never responded to voice mail left in regard to the complaints filed with the State of Oregon and Revdex.com by [redacted] that were received by Performance Building Products, Inc. 04/07/17.   Performance Building Products, Inc. met directly with [redacted] at the job-site 04/13/17 to resolve any issues related to his complaint. Performance Building Products, Inc. completed all necessary opener low-voltage wiring for both the safety sensors and wall button controls at no additional charge. After completion, the work performed was shown and the safety features were fully tested and demonstrated to [redacted]. He was provided written labor and manufacturer’s warranties for all garage doors and openers. [redacted] provided Performance Building Products, Inc. his written signature verifying the work in proposal #[redacted] was 100% complete to his satisfaction. No one representing [redacted], including [redacted], was present during this meeting.   At no point in time did Performance Building Products, Inc. ever deny responsibility for installing the opener safety feature and thus refuse to complete the full installation of proposal #[redacted] as stated by [redacted] in his complaints. [redacted] never attempted to contact Performance Building Products, Inc. directly to resolve this matter prior to filing these complaints.   Clay S[redacted] General Manager Performance Building Products, Inc. 555 NE Hemlock Ave., Suite 108 Redmond, OR 97756 Office #: 541-316-2179 CCB #: 108290 *Please view attached documents

The installer has installed all low voltage wiring and safety features after my pointing out the contractual obligation was not modified by any verbal discussions with my agent Jim F[redacted] The contract is for four doors and two operators functioning as represented in the contract . There are no disclaimers about third party obligations to make the installation fully functional or as advertised. T  This door installer has indicated installing many garage doors and having the buyer responsible for the low voltage wiring and responsible to make the doors fully functional.
