We signed a contract with Performance Mazda in Orleans, Ontario for 2.75%. Monthly payment worked out to $531/month. We paid $500 down. Mazda called us to say that we couldn't get the rate, but could have 4.99% and the payment would be $560 /month. We thought about this for a few days and decided to say yes to it. We went in to pick up our car a week later and the terms had changed yet again. Now, it was 5.99% and an even higher monthly rate. We said that we were unwilling to agree to the new terms and asked for a refund of our $500. The dealer refuses to give it back as there were changes made to the car in preparation for sale to us. They also reminded me that we'd signed a contract. I was willing to take the car for the terms agreed to in said contract, but if they change the contract, which they have, it should no longer stand. Why does my signature matter, but their agreed-to terms don't?

In this particular situation we were unable to achieve the offered credit rate of 2.75% for this client. We did however offer the lowest available interest rate available to the client, this was however refused. In accordance with our best practices we have offered a full and complete refund and reversal to the client . Thank you.
