Dear [redacted] This is my response Yes, I was informed about this in [redacted] , AOAO resident manager informed me about the damaged skylight at #D I was provided with the Point of Contact from [redacted] to call [redacted] (702) 515-9608, Certified Construction, *** He was the POC to replace the damaged skylight On 2013, Yes, [redacted] did replaced the damaged skylight And he said, if it starts leaking rain water from the skylight, call me or call Certified Construction, *** He assured me that I will not have a problem with the rain water leaking from the replaced skylight frame On January 2016, ***, [redacted] another Certified Construction, [redacted] came over to fix the leak but he was incompetent He was escorted by the interim resident manager I was not there to show him the interior leak from the skylight frame (See Picture) He did not ask me the leak location or ask me to locate interior of the water leak He did not assess the skylight frame and location of the rain water leak He assumed the leak from coming the top of skylight glass He caulked the top of skylight glass frame (See Picture) No experience supervisor came to assess skylight frame and location of the rain water leak The replaced skylight was not installed correctly and faulty skylight design (See Picture) There is two skylight in the picture The left side is the original skylight and right side is the replaced skylight The replaced skylight was not installed correctly The replaced skylight frame is not covering around the lip and curbside area The skylight frame is not flushed against the surface of the roof See the original skylight frame lip and curbside The lanai roof is not badly deteriorated? The lanai roof felt is still intact (See picture of the lanai roof) No peeling or distorted piece of roofing felt Certified Construction, [redacted] did not use the same skylight frame design and was not installed correctlyDifferent frame skylight design and faulty work Sincerely, [redacted] ***

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: Sincerely, [redacted] Aloha and Good MorningMs [redacted] I am rejecting this response I have two skylights on my lanai roof before one was damaged by Certified Construction [redacted] The damaged skylight was replaced by Certified Construction [redacted] but the replaced skylight is faulty constructed The rain water is still leaking from the side of the skylight frame Certified Construction had damaged the integrity of the roof material around the replaced skylight Several times, the Certified Construction [redacted] worker came to fix the leak but still leaking during the heavy rain The other original skylight on the lanai roof has no problem during the heavy rain.Certified Construction *** Faulty constructed in the replaced skylight Damaged the integrity of roof material around the replaced skylight.Sincerely, [redacted] ***

Mr [redacted] is misinformed Certified Construction [redacted] was contracted to do re-roofing repairs at his AOAO at [redacted] s We have completed the contract in and dealt with many other is***s to individual tenants that did not involve our scope of work but did so to try and make the residents and resident manager happy Mr [redacted] has an is [redacted] with his flat roof on his lanai as many of the resident do Our contract did not include re-roofing of any of the lanai roofs and the AOAO is completely aware of how badly they are deteriorated Yes, one of his skylights was damaged during the re-roofing process and we did in fact replace it However, this is not the source of his leaks as we have determined on several occasions now The leaks are coming from the lanai roof itself which is not part of our responsibility or contract We have made efforts to try and fix what we can in the form of temporary repairs but they are just that, temporary The lanai roofs need to be re-roofed on many, if not all, within the complex [redacted] , the resident manager understood this and also understood that our company had gone far and above of appeasing many tenants with individual is***s that they had, that did not involve our scope of contracted work The AOAO of [redacted] s simply did not have the funds to do all the repairs necessary, as badly deteriorated louvered windows were also part of the problems that complicated our scope of work as well as the lanai roofs that tied into the flat roofs My suggestion to Mr [redacted] is to maybe invest in coating or re-roofing your lanai roof yourself instead of waiting for the AOAO to come up with funds to do the entire complex But in short, the leaks in which Mr [redacted] refers to are not our responsibility It is physically impossible to weathertight anything on such a badly deteriorated roof Certified Construction ***

On 18 January 2016, [redacted], [redacted] another Certified
Construction, [redacted] came over to fix the leak but he was incompetent.  He was escorted by the interim resident
manager.  I was not there to show him the

skylight glass.  He caulked the top of

skylight design (See Picture).  There is
two skylight in the picture.  The left
side is the original skylight and right side is the replaced skylight.  The replaced skylight was not installed
correctly.  The replaced skylight frame
is not covering around the lip and curbside area.  The skylight frame is not flushed against the

The lanai roof is not badly deteriorated?  The lanai roof felt is still intact (See
