As for the wireless keypad being free....It is listed on the contract along with the garage door openers and the garage doorsThe key pad was included within the total price of the package that I paid for As for the owners response to installing the keypad being a security risk Where is the security risk in mounting the wireless key pad? The installer is not programing the key pad with a security code and is only mounting it on the outside of the home The installer did not want to know the security code or program the security code in the key pad which is understandable and was not questioned! I am sure the alarm system and security cameras would have caught the person or persons responsible if the house was to be burglarized and would not have placed any liability on the business owner especially since the installer mounting the keypad indicated that he did not want to know the security code Once again the business owner is coming up with excuses for not standing by his products and his installation workHe is only concern with finishing the job, collecting his pay and moving on to the next job instead of insuring that the job was complete and done correctlyThis has nothing to do with being unavailable because of snowstorm after snowstorm and the cold weatherIf it did he would still agree to fix the problem and make things right by installing a working keypad and not an ornamentObviously it is not profitable for him to have the installer drove all the way out to my home to install a new keypad for minutes work which he gets no further compensationHe did not originally mind taking a job that was a distance away and except my money for the jobI would expect him to make things right by installing a working keypad and not an ornamentHis own response on [redacted] was for me to go to [redacted] and buy one! We have vehicle tracking on our vehicles....the tech took 39 mins drive time from his last apt, and was parked at this customers house for over 1 1/2 hours....we did what we said we would do for the price we said we would do it for. The customer had the option to schedule the apt with us when she was home but did not. Instead she left the payment for us and we did exactly what we said we was going to do....it is not our fault the garage was used to house chickens and the openers was riddled with chicken feces so bad that the technician REFUSED to touch due to fear of disease!!

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:
For your information this is the business response that I received from the owner after I filed the complaint with the Revdex.com.
Performance OverHead Door Co [redacted] we are going through an extremely tough time right now ...we have about 40 customers that are waiting to have their doors installed ...we keep getting pushed back because of the weather... the weather is extremely ridiculous right now please bear with us your doors are installed and operational.... Really the Revdex.com? ...Over a keypad? This is the only issue you have?...There is people who cannot use their garage that we are trying to get doors installed...A Keypad of which we did not CHARGE you for? It was a freebie!!!...We are trying our very best to satisfy the people who do not even have garage doors right now.... It is not that we are incompetent in any way....it is because the weather is only allowing us to actually get work done approximately 2 to 3 days a week..... it is impossible to satisfy everyone when we cannot travel.... By the way this is [redacted] the owner..... If a keypad is such an important issue to you ....you can go to your local [redacted] and PAY for one rather than wait for the FREE one from us....you contact me at anytime [redacted]. ..thanks so much!
Do you see a problem with this? Does this sound like a reliable, professional, customer orientated company? Feel free to view it for yourself.
I have a signed contract from Performance Overhead Door Co. for the installation of 2 garage doors, 2 garage door openers, 2 wall buttons and a key pad. The price I paid in the contract included all of these items. I would assume that all items listed would be in working order. The contract does not indicate that the key pad was free. It was listed as part of the package I paid for in the contract. As a matter of fact, the owner's wife [redacted], called me after she left my house and indicated that she had made a mistake on the contract and quoted me $200.00 less for the doors than what it was suppose to be. I paid the extra $200.00 because it was the right thing to do.
The key pad never worked from the beginning.  I discussed the issue with the business installer on 2 occasions. The first time he indicated that he would talk to his boss, the owner [redacted], (Same person listed on the [redacted] post)  to see how they would fix the situation. In the second conversation the installer told me that he  would have me placed on the schedule to replace the key pad on that Wednesday on my day off so that he would not be inconvenienced on a weekend day. I did what the installer instructed me to do which was to call his cell phone on Wednesday morning to determine when he would be coming. I called him twice and the calls were not answered. (Feel free to look at my phone records)   I left 2 voicemail messages on the installers cellular phone requesting that he call me so that I would not have to wait around all day. I received no calls from him. I waited for him at home all day for him to arrive. He did not come.  All of this could have been avoided if my call was returned even if the installer had to cancel for that day I would have understood. I would have re-scheduled and I would have not wasted the whole day waiting around for him. (I even tipped the installer $50.00 after he installed everything! I wish I hadn't now)  I left a messages on the owner's wife [redacted]'s cellular phone (The same person who sold me the doors and issued the contract) requesting that her husband the owner contact me. No return calls were received.  The only contact I have had with the owner or anyone in the company was after I filed the complaint with the Revdex.com as you can see in the [redacted] post. Obviously to him it is not a big deal and his solution is to go to [redacted] and buy one!
Today the owner posted again on his [redacted] website that a keypad was mailed out to me today. It is apparent that the company is" moving on" and does not want to bother to do the right thing which would be to remove the non-working key pad and install a working key pad which was listed in the contract. The company should have made sure that the equipment it installed was in working order before leaving which would have been the right thing to do and would have avoided this issue. I contacted the manufacturer and was advised that the key pad which was installed is not defective and was in fact the wrong one which is not compatible with the garage door openers that were installed! The business has been paid in full and it is obvious they do not want to do the right thing and finish the job by installing the working key pad . The business has received my full payment and I have no recourse other than reporting them to the proper agencies. At this time I will be forced to install the key pad on my own because the company is more concerned with installing other doors and collecting more profit than fixing a wrong.
[redacted] also told me that the garage doors were warranted however I have received no paperwork as of this date. It has been a month since the doors were installed.  [redacted] also said the doors would have to be maintained every year in order for the warrantee to be valid. I was even told that the first maintenance inspection is free to anyone that were to give the company a positive review on [redacted]. This is how I originally found the company and decided to have them do the work because of all of the positive reviews and no listed complaints with Revdex.com and the State. Talk about deception!
I have done investigations for over 30 years. I did do research on this company through the Internet, [redacted], Revdex.com as well as the [redacted] prior to entering into a contract for the work. Based on this I believed this company was reliable prior to entering into an agreement with them.  I do not agree with removing this complaint from the company's Revdex.com's history as the owner requested. The company's website also contains a link to the Revdex.com for customers to view. The fact of the matter is that I would have avoided this company and would have found a reliable company that stands by their products and work ethics  if I had found any complaints listed with the Revdex.com. I believe it is important for Consumers researching businesses through the Revdex.com  to be aware of all complaints that were filed against a company before they make a decision to use the business. I do not feel it is right to remove this complaint from the company's history.

Sincerely,[redacted]

As for the wireless keypad being free....It is listed on the contract along with the garage door openers and the garage doors. The key pad was included within the total price of the package that I paid for.
As for the owners response to installing the keypad being a security risk ... Where is the security risk in mounting the wireless key pad? The installer is not programing the key pad  with a security code and is only mounting it on the outside of the home.  The installer did not want to know the security code or program the security code in the key pad which is understandable and was not questioned!  I am sure the alarm system and security cameras would have caught the person or persons responsible if the house was to be burglarized and would not have placed any liability on the business owner especially since the installer mounting the keypad indicated that he did not want to know the security code.
Once again the business owner is coming up with excuses for not standing by his products and his installation work. He is only concern with finishing the job, collecting his pay and moving on to the next job instead of insuring that the job was complete and done correctly. This has nothing to do with being unavailable because of snowstorm after snowstorm and the cold weather. If it did he would still agree to fix the problem and make things right by installing a working keypad and not an ornament. Obviously it is not profitable for him to have the installer drove all the way out to my home to install a new keypad for 5 minutes work which he gets no further compensation. He did not originally mind taking a job that was a distance away and except my money for the job. I would expect him to make things right by installing a working keypad and not an ornament. His own response on [redacted] was for me to go to [redacted] and buy one! Obviously this complaint means nothing to him and he has never taken it seriously.
As for having so many "likes" on the [redacted] website....people also "like" postings on the website simply because they like the looks of the products that are being displayed. As far as the positive reviews....  why wouldn't you give a positive review  just for having the first year scheduled maintenance inspection fee waived. Like I said before talk about deception.
I have received the working keypad and have installed it as of this time because I am no longer confident in this business owner and I no longer want him on my property.  I feel this company is incompetent, deceptive  and is taking advantage of people for profit. Like I said, I still have not received the warrantee for the garage doors and it is now going into the 7th week since the doors were installed. Obviously this can not be blamed on the weather, multiple snowstorms, the cold temperatures or scheduling problems. I believe this complaint should stay active at least until the business completes the transaction. I also believe there should be a record of this complaint against the business for others to be aware of in the future because as I explained in the past I would have gone with another company if I had known there was any complaints associated with this business with the Revdex.com. This complaint is valid unlike what the business owner believes and not vindictive as the business owner indicated. If the complaint is dismissed with no record of it, the business owner can further brag about not having any complaints from this time forward with the Revdex.com which would be a disservice to what the Revdex.com is all about. In response to Mr. Wayne  Mora's statement our contract is broken down on how much for the doors and how much for the openers but there is no price next to the keypad .....as for Mr. Morra's requests for us to come out and install a keypad this is something that we do not do due to security issues ....we simply give the keypad to the homeowner who then programs it with their own private four digit security pin ....we do not allow our technicians to install keypads for liability reasons .....since our gift was not compatible with his opener we mailed him a new one with a return receipt to make sure he received it..to replace the gift that we gave him ......No we will NOT drive out to his house to install it because we DO NOT install keypads that is our company's policy.....what is to say if we was to install keypad and then then the house was broken into ....then the homeowner would surely state that we installed their keypad with their security pin....we would then be liable......Now if the original installer DID install the keypad he did so WITHOUT our permission and as a courtesy to Mr. Mora.....we as a business have done everything we can to satisfy Mr. Mora  but he does not care that we have been hit with snow storm after snow storm and fridgid temperatures that prevents us to send our technicians out on the road to install doors for people who do not even have doors ....He really thinks his free keypad is MORE important....this complaint is absolutely frivolous and ridiculous!!....we have been in business for over 15 years and as Mr. Morra stated he investigated us till the cows came home and we have had no complaints  EVER....quite simply you can look at our company's [redacted] page and you will see great reviews after great reviews after great reviews ....also it is clearly noted that we have over 2210 likes on our page you simply do not get this many likes for being a company like Mr. Mora is describing ....I feel  this complaint is extremely trivial and vindictive towards us please dismiss this complaint

Review: I purchased 2 new Garage doors including garage door openers and a wireless/ keyless entry pad. The installer [redacted], installed the doors, openers and wireless key pad on 01/17/15. The Wireless key pad never worked from the beginning. I left messages with the sales person whom is also the owner's wife [redacted] and did not receive return calls until finally she answered her phone. I explained the problem. She seemed to be annoyed on the phone and had the installer [redacted] contact me. I explained the problem to [redacted]. He instructed me to try and reprogram the key pad in a different way. I attempted to do this and also changed the battery inside the unit however it did not work. I contacted [redacted] again and told him it was not working. He indicated that he would discuss the issue with his boss, the owner [redacted], and would get back to me as to their recourse of action. I received no return calls. I called [redacted] on 02/07/15 and spoke to him again as to his conversation with the business owner [redacted]. At this time [redacted] indicated that he would come to the house and replace the unit. I advised [redacted] that I would be available all day on Wednesday 02/11/15. He said he would have me put on the schedule for that Wednesday and instructed me to contact him on Wednesday morning for his arrival time. I tried twice on Wednesday to contact him and left messages each time on his cell phone as to when he would be arriving. I received no returned calls. I waited at home all day and no one came to replace the unit. I left messages for [redacted] on her cell phone to contact me. I received no return calls. I left my last message for [redacted] on her cell phone on Thursday 02/12/15 explaining the situation again with instructions to have her husband [redacted], the business owner contact me. As of this writing 02/16/15, I have not heard from anyone at the business. I even left a message with [redacted] again on 02/14/15 and received no call back. As of this time I have received no resolution to this problem and I have been unable to contact anyone from the business. The company was advertising on [redacted]. I did check with the Revdex.com for prior complaints before entering into a contract with the company and found no complaints, however I did see a posting on [redacted] from someone with a similar problem. I believe the posting was deleted because I have not seen it on there recently.Desired Settlement: The business should stand by their products and make things right with their customers. I paid for a working wireless keyless entry pad to be installed by the business for my garage door openers and I am unable to use it because it is either bad or the incorrect unit was installed. I also expect the owner, employees and installers to return my phone calls and keep me appraised as to what is happening with my problem. I left messages for the installer for his arrival time and wasted a whole day of my time waiting on Wednesday 02/11/15 for the installer to arrive and correct the problem by installing a new unit as he promised. I feel I should also be compensated for my time for this day. I would like other consumers to know that this business has had problems with their products reputation and with their customer communications.

Review: June 7, 2015

On May 25, 2015 a man named [redacted] and his assistant from Performance Overhead Door came to my home to give me an estimate on repairing my garage doors. We discussed the work to be done which included resetting the springs and cables on both doors, checking the electronic system, and replacing the 2 remotes. He quoted me an estimate of $400 which I agreed to. On May 29, 2015 he called and told me he had a technician in my area that day who could come. I agreed to leave a check for $400 as I would not be home. The repair was to be done and the technician was to leave an itemized receipt. When I came home it appeared springs were put on and cables set but the doors only worked manually and did not shut securely to the ground. The doors did not work electronically and one was unplugged. No remotes were left nor any receipt for the work and diagnostics done. On May 31, 2015 I called the office to speak to [redacted] about when the rest of the work would be done. He stated he was confused as he thought only the springs were agreed to. I reiterated that I had asked for a complete repair and replacement of remotes, also questioned the status on the electrical system and the whereabouts of the receipt. He replied that he would check with the technician and call me back. I did not receive any call back from him or details of the work done. On June 1, 2015 I received a message from Performance Overhead Door that someone would be out Wednesday to replace my springs for the garage doors. I called back confused as I had been told this was already done. The receptionist was confused as well and stated she would have [redacted] call me back. I have not received verbal or written response at this time.Desired Settlement: Refund

Response:

This customer was given a price of $400 to replace her springs on her garage door, set the cables, and check out the operation of her openers. The technician replaced the springs and set the cables and got the doors operational manually. He then checked on the operation of the openers and was not able to get them to function. He did not open the openers to further diagnose the opener because they were covered in chicken feces and urine. It was his conclusion that is was a good chance that this was why the openers did not work. We gave a price to replace the springs, set the cables, and check out the openers....this is EXACTLY what we did.....please not the garage was used to house chickens and and was filled with hay bales. We offered the customer the option that if she was to clean the operators of feces we would be happy to further diagnose them. We simply cannot force out technician to work on components covered in chicken feces. Please dispose of this complaint as we did nothing wrong.
