***In May I was contacted by *** *** son of *** *** *** had indicated that my company was referred by one of the city council
memberI've successfully complete numerous public and Private projects*** *** informed me that several contractors had worked on the project and wanted a replicable contractor.Once I arrived on the site it was apparent that there were numerous unfinished and poorly constructed projects started and abandoned.After speaking with *** *** and ** *** I proceeded with an estimate of what needs to be done to correct these problemsSeveral months past and I was contacted by *** *** that his mother *** wanted to eliminate several needed projects and for me to modify and revise the estimate.Once that was doneWe agreed on a price and proceeded with a contract.The project basically was reduced to a finishing the multiple projects started by previous contractorMy contract with ** *** offered no warranty or insurance due to the fact that My company was repairing and finishing work previous contractors had startedOne of the contractors who had worked on the project three years prior told me he had torn down the porch and got the porch 1/rebuilt was told to stop work and was not paidThis appeared to be the case on the entire project*** *** allowed the project to continue to completion and began to make and frivolous complaint that was not related to my workComplained that the window installer bent a stationary tub faucet by dropping something heavy on itHe did not use any thing heavy to install a glass block window? The windows were provided by ** *** were already put togetherHe did not drop anything inside the houseShe also complained that the stationary tub was clotted because of debrisThe entire plumbing in the basement is backed upThis had nothing to do wit the stationary tubShe later said she wanted to save the windowsThis she should have indicated prior to the job start or during demoOnce we took out the old tub and disposed of it** *** later indicated that she wanted it for scrap again this was after the tub was disposed of** *** was to provide all materialsOnce she brought the new tub the dimensions were different from the previous tub.Ms Shaw was informed that modification had to be made to accommodate the new bathtubShe was also made aware that the previously installed tile job was incorrectShe refused to allow the correctionsWe proceeded to install the tubThe tub drain was connected to a old galvanized lead pipeThis pipe had a pin hole leak from rust** *** insisted that we replace itInstead we repaired caused the problem with epoxyShe would not allow me to show her the source of the leakOn the day that theSecond draw was paid** *** called and asked me to come over to address concerns before we move to the final phase** *** was very obstructive in setting a time and dateI was prepared to make any corrections immediatelyOnce we finally agreed on a time to meet with a hour windowShe did not show up for hours after the appointment.Once there she pointed out the following itemsCeiling fan and light chains were reversed we promptly took care of itDishwasher was not workingWe were only to install plumbingThe electric line ran by previous contractor was faultyWe made correction to the electric lineThe aforementioned lead pipe was addressesGrout fell in bah while tiling the bathtub had plastic film protection on itWe gently dissolved the grout and removed the plastic cleaned bathtubLate Mr Shaw called and said that the bathtub had a scratchI offered to come take a look because there were none when we leftShe refused to allow me to look at the alleged damage or even to make corrections*** *** provided the bathtub and was told that the manufacturer has a touch up paint compound specifically to cover minor scratches and instructionI offered to look at she refusedShe also alleged that there is a dentThe tub is fiberglass no dents.The tile work was done by a previous contractorWe did only one course the bottom directly above the tub as stated in the contractWe replaced exactly how it was installed.I made over $in purchases for this project** *** agreed to pay for all materialsshe refused to payReceipts, bricks, porch caps were all items she agreed to pay forThe bid was for labor only.In conclusion ** *** has had previous contractor start work get half way thru then fires themShe then later have another contractor to work on the project and repeats the same actionHe claims are and frivolousI've made every effort to resolve this matterShe has refused any ammical solution to this problemShe still owes money for the projectI have filed a complaint with the Hamiton County Small Claims courtRegard*** ** *** OwnerPerformance Painting and Construction LLC
