I dropped off my Subaru with him, gave him roughly $9000.00 up front for some performance upgrades. I was told he would have my vehicle for about 1 week and half, 7 1/2 months later, and 2100 miles added to my car, I finally had to find my Subaru, and contact the Police to get my car back, the owner gave me every excuse under the sun why he needed to keep my car, everything from back ordered parts, to his children being sick, going through a divorce, even a broken arm excuse!!! Based on the condition of my car, I gather he used the vehicle for everything, I found old food, wet clothes, beer cans, and drug related materials, rolling papers, marijuana seeds, and even prescription pill bottles, that were not even under his name. He told the Police, that is how he received the Subaru, that is untrue, my car WAS flawless. I'm a foolish young person who has learned their lesson about giving money up front and paying cash, he said if I paid cash, I would get a 20% discount, and additional 5% off if I paid up front, he said this is his policy because he has been ripped off soo many times. I now have my vehicle, and it is half apart, and I didn't receive anything that was discussed, and the owner again says he is going through a divorce, and told me he doesn't car about what his reputation is about his company. Lesson learned, STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY, don't give money up front, I would image, his offer to take my money up front and cash is to avoid paying taxes. He got away with it, I didn't sign any contracts or repair orders with him, and he said I just left my car and didn't tell him what we were doing to my Subaru, however this was planned for months, and he was all fun and games, when I originally met with him prior to dropping my car off, he suggested to drop it off before his work hours, so he could get an early jump on it.
