I was struggling to make my student loan payment and the bills were just piling on top of thatAfter speaking with a very nice consultant they guided me through the process that I had no idea or no time to complete myself and even got me down to a $monthly student loan paymentIt's a beneficial service to anybody looking to get their loans paid off sooner and improve their credit

Mr[redacted] , Like we previously stated, the contract you signed up for requires a cancellation within days of your enrollment dateYou enrolled and accepted our services on November 27th, however we did not receive any form of communication from you until December 7thWhich at that point, was past your day grace periodFurthermore, a manager at our company spoke with you a few days ago regarding your concernsShe explained the performance based services we honor, and she told you she would happily cancel your file out if you could provide proof the applications submitted on your behalf, were actually deniedSince we are a performance based company, the terms of your contract explain that we don't get paid for our services until the work is approvedHowever, the terms also explain that you are obligated to the payment arrangement you agreed to if the work is completedWe submitted the application on December 1st, and don't see any reason for a denialIf you have a denial letter, please send it in and we can finalize the cancellation process

We make it known upfront, what your total payment is, what is applied towards our fee and what is applied to your student loan paymentIf that wasn’t recalled in the long conversations we have with our clients, we also restate that and various other compliance related questions in the compliance portion of the enrollment process This compliance call is an extensive and very thorough list of questions that you are required to understand and state “Yes” before completing the enrollment process with our companyFor instance, I listened to the compliance recording, and it was asked of you, “Do you understand that you have financed the enrollment fee of $1450, that is NOT paid up front and is broken down and factored into a monthly payment of $that is paid to the 3rd Party Finance Company?” You stated yesWe further asked “Do you understand that the payment of $is what will be applied to your outstanding student loan balance? You also stated yesSince your enrollment, your individual student loans have been consolidated, your repayment plan was approved for $as quoted and everything is complete and approvedWe do apologize for the misunderstanding of our services, however, services are now complete

It was very unfortunate that our client had our incorrect contact informationContact has been made with this client and we found resolution

Date Sent: 3/5/6:32:PMIt seems that there may be some confusion The attached shows that our company did in fact submit on your behalf for the consolidation, and that the ‘pay as you earn plan’ was entered as of 11/2/ The confusion may be in your reference to Sallie Mae, as our company does not do consolidations for private loans The loans we consolidated and submitted for you were for Dept of Ed/Great Lakes.Upon further review of your file, I do see that the 2/13/payment should not have been deducted from your account, as the file was paused as [redacted] stated Unfortunately, [redacted] has been out on a leave of absence and the file notes were unclear as to whether or not the pause should have been lifted for the next scheduled payment We will use this incident in our training going forward so that all files are noted appropriately and clearly should they need to be accessed by another employeeAs stated, our company did complete the consolidated as contracted, therefore we will not refund the entire amount; however, we will offer to refund the final payment minus the fee due to the 3rd party finance company (fee amount - $6.00) and we will cancel your account upon your acceptance of this agreement

Re sent over a check in the same denomination as the aforementioned gift card as we could affect delivery quickerWe sincerely hope this resolves the matter as we confirmed delivery of the check payable to Customer

[The conversation I had with the customer service representative never stated that the money would not go towards my loan paymentI asked the representative several times if I had a correct understanding and that the monthly payment would go towards my payments and he said yesI have everything wrote down from our conversation and restated it to him again to make sure there was a complete understandingNot once was it told to me that it was a finance charge ]

When I talked with the compliance officer, I clearly stated that I did not want your service and wanted it canceledCheck the recorded conversationI was told that I had to contact FedLoan Servicing to cancel services with Performance SLCAgain, check the recorded conversationI contacted FedLoan ServicingThey have never heard of Performance SLC and were never contacted on my behalfThe compliance officer sent me a text messageI replied that FedLoan Servicing had never heard of Performance SLCHe replied with something about the IRS and H&R BlockI clearly stated in my reply that "No, I want to cancel services with you." He did not replyPerformance SLC has done nothing to help me with my federal student loansThey have lied about being and working with FedLoan ServicingI have done all of the work with FedLoan Servicing to consolidate my federal student loansPerformance SLC is a scamThe contract should have been canceled when I requested it to be canceledPerformance SLC did not cancel it as I requestedThey lied and are working a total scamThe account with Equitable Acceptance should be canceled and removed from my credit report

have no record that you called in or spoke to anyone on those datesWe do see that you talked to our customer service dept on 12/and 12/and you spoke to a compliance managerAt that time it was notated that you needed more time to think about the services we provideSo, according to our records, your cancellation request was not completed, and we are awaiting a return call from youFurthermore, we have already submitted your application for consolidation to the department of education on December 1stYour consolidation could be completed by now, which means that we have upheld our contractual agreement by providing you a service on your student loansWe will have a compliance manager reach out to you again

Looking at your file, we submitted your applicated to the Department of Education on 7/10/and was approved by *** on 8/23/You were quoted for a payment of $and was approved without fail I see that we attempted to reach out to you in August to let you know that you’re consolidation and repayment plan change was completed and approved, but unfortunately we were not able to get a hold of youYou chose to finance the fee for our services through the third party finance company called Equitable Acceptance CorporationIt is this fee that is broken down into monthly payments of $It is that contract that will be paid off in years, not your student loansStudent Loan Forgiveness takes effect between 20-years, depending on the types of loans you have and the repayment plan you enterIn your case, it would be years. Please give us a call if you have any further questions about our services and we’ll be happy to answer all of your questions

our servicesThis includes the ability to complete these services on your ownDuring your application intake process, we made you aware that Performance SLC is a document preparation company and we are not the Department of EducationBy no means did we represent that we are a student loan forgiveness programWe did let you know that student loan forgiveness is offered by the federal government and we’re a company that helps facilitate that request by submitting the proper applications on your behalf to ensure your enrollment in that programAt the end of the enrollment process you are asked compliance questions confirming your understanding of the services we are providingFor example, “Do you understand that Performance SLC is a privately owned document preparation company and not the Department of Education?” or “Do you understand that you can complete these services on your own without paying a fee or hiring a professional company?” or “Do you understand that you have financed the enrollment fee of XXXX that is not paid up front and is broken down and factored into a monthly payment of XXXX that is paid to the third-party finance company, EAC?” You acknowledged and confirmed all questions in our compliance call. Also, your consolidation has been completed per our agreement, and you were approved for the monthly payment that we quotedI also found that you submitted additional information to your loan servicer that increased your monthly payment. Keep in mind that Performance SLC goes through great lengths to assure your understanding of our servicesWe wish to make this rightWe attempted to reach out to you regarding this and to see if there is anything more we can do for youPlease give us a call at your earliest convenience so we can provide you with the best results with your student loans.
