We apologize for any miss understanding. You came into our shop on April 13, to
have your rear glass striped and re-tinted, and you had a receipt from May of
2009. Performance Tinters has been under
new ownership since July of 2009, and we do honor all warranty work prior to
that date, however, the film has always been the only part of the process that
is covered under warranty. The $
that you were quoted is an estimate on how much it would cost to strip the old
tint off of your vehicle. We do not know
how long it will take until we get started on the process, each car is
different. We inform you that it usually
takes about 3-hours to strip the old tint off, clean the glass of all
adhesive and re-tint the window. Please
be advised that the $and the 3-hour time frame is just an estimate
based on past experience.
If you had allowed us to honor the warranty and it had only
taken minutes to strip and re-tint the back glass correctly the price of the
labor would not have been $45.00. As I
stated before, we do not know how long it will take to perform this job professionally
and correctly until we get started on each job, so we have to have a starting
estimate for all jobs.
As far as you not being notified of different rules, we do
not track transactions by customer name so it is up to the consumer to keep all
receipts and to contact us when there is an issue.
We honor all warranty issues professionally, Performance
Tinters has been in business since we have a good reputation, and we do
our best to supply the best customer service, and to be clear and honest with
all consumers
