[redacted] was in our shop on 11-18-My tech performed a routine oil changeShe returned a couple weeks later ( +/- ) and her car was indeed a bit low on oilWe placed her car on the lift and could not locate any where the oil was leaking from as there was zero oil on the undercarriageSo naturally we topped off her oil and she was on her wayThen about 4-weeks later she comes in to our facility, completely out of control, and impossible to have a civilized conversation withAt which point I had to promise her if she did not calm down and act civilly I would gladly call the [redacted] police and have her removed from the property. She was ranting and raving about what [redacted] thinks they had found or discoveredShe refused to provide any documentation to their claimAt that point I refunded the cost of her oil change. She subsequently stopped in I believe several days later demanding my insurance companies contact infoWe all know this is not the way the system works in the real worldI explained to her I need any documentation she may have so I can institute my due diligence of investigation on my end as a responsible business owner. She stated " I showed it to you " I explained I needed hard copies of any info she had in order to move forwardFinally she provided me copies of any info she had, at which point I immediately contacted my insurance carrier to have them do their do diligence of an investigation to determine the appropriate course of action. The long and short of the entire situation is I am not sure who is at fault, as about 8-weeks have lapsed with out her cooperation in providing me any documentation, and her car could have been touched by another shop or individual.Un fortunately my tech whom performed the actual service passed away on Thanksgiving eve, so I was at a dead end getting any info via this option.I spoke to my insurance company today, they have made her a legit offer to contract with a shop to install a replacement motor to make [redacted] whole againDont quote me on the #'s, but I believe the adjuster said her car was valued at abot $ +/-, and they offered her the amount quoted by Monro to replace her motorShe refused the offer. She said she was going to get more quotes. It is apparent to me and the insurance company that she is attempting to pocket some monies in addition to getting her engine replaced.Any other rhetoric in her claim is just that....rhetoric and hearsay.I certainly feel , once I was provided any necessary info to contact my insurance carrier, I have done all I can, and have adressed the situation with du diligence to resolve this issue and make [redacted] whole again.Thank You Steve J [redacted]

[redacted] was in our shop on 11-18-2017. My tech performed a routine oil change. She returned a couple weeks later ( +/- ) and her car was indeed a bit low on oil. We placed her car on the lift and could not locate any where the oil was leaking from as there was zero oil on the undercarriage. So...

naturally we topped off her oil and she was on her way. Then about 4-6 weeks later she comes in to our facility, completely out of control, and impossible to have a civilized conversation with. At which point I had to promise her if she did not calm down and act civilly I would gladly call the [redacted] police and have her removed from the property. She was ranting and raving about what [redacted] thinks they had found or discovered. She refused to provide any documentation to their claim. At that point I refunded the cost of her oil change. She subsequently stopped in I believe several days later demanding my insurance companies contact info. We all know this is not the way the system works in the real world. I explained to her I need any documentation she may have so I can institute my due diligence of investigation on my end as a responsible business owner. She stated " I showed it to you "  I explained I needed hard copies of any info she had in order to move forward. Finally she provided me copies of any info she had, at which point I immediately contacted my insurance carrier to have them do their do diligence of an investigation to determine the appropriate course of action. The long and short of the entire situation is I am not sure who is at fault, as about 8-12 weeks have lapsed with out her cooperation in providing me any documentation, and her car could have been touched by another shop or individual.Un fortunately my tech whom performed the actual service passed away on Thanksgiving eve, so I was at a dead end getting any info via this option.I spoke to my insurance company today, they have made her a legit offer to contract with a shop to install a replacement motor to make [redacted] whole again. Dont quote me on the #'s, but I believe the adjuster said her car was valued at abot $4600  +/-, and they offered her the amount quoted by Monro to replace her motor. She refused the offer. She said she was going to get more quotes. It is apparent to me and the insurance company that she is attempting to pocket some monies in addition to getting her engine replaced.Any other rhetoric in her claim is just that....rhetoric and hearsay.I certainly feel , once I was provided any necessary info to contact my insurance carrier, I have done all I can, and have adressed the situation with du diligence to resolve this issue and make [redacted] whole again.Thank You  Steve J[redacted]
