Review: My wife and I found this establishment on the Internet and they advertise as a "boutique" hotel. It is most certainly not. We paid the front desk in cash , went to our room and turned around and walked out. We did not touch anything in the room. It was not a boutique hotel. The room was disgusting and smelled. It was very small and nothing as advertised. We asked for our money back and were told it was non-refundable. We were only in the room for 5 minutes if that long. I had to calm my wife down from our tumultuous summer and this was the cherry on a horrible sundae. The front desk person called the owner and said we checked in and wanted to check out. We walked in and turned around. [redacted] the owner was at dinner and by phone told the front desk person no refunds. I understood if they needed to keep the taxes and fees and would have been happy with just the room charge back. We were not offered any other type of compensation. Not another room not anything. The customer service was horrific at best. It just did not exist. On Trip Advisor this establishment has some very nice reviews and very awful reviews from people who had the same experience as I did. The reservation was made under my wife's name. We left the premisses and drove back home. We returned the key, parking pass, and all information given to us.Desired Settlement: My desired outcome is to come to an amicable solution of a refund. I understand they're in business to make money but what is right is right. We did not touch anything that would cause for new maid service or turn down service. They could have resold the room for that night we came in the daytime. The business practices of this owner should be investigated. The staff should receive customer service training, and a refund is in order here. The owner is now not available with every phone call and all decisions are made by her.
