Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ***, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:
I would not purchase a gown that has three layers and intentionally ask for it to be altered or should I say destroyed as shown in the picture. As mentioned previously, there were two tears in the dresses tulle outer layer, which shown in the picture and is very long touching the ground and that is where the tears were locatedAfter cutting the excess tullle, which is where the tears were located, the dress would have been perfect lengthWhy would I ask for the outer tulle layer of a dress to be cut shorter than the inner two layers. In addition the tulle outer layer was shorter in the front and long in the back. From this experience I have learned that 1. when getting any item altered to make sure the person doing the alterations is the same person taking the measurements Get everything in writting that is agreed upon and also to take pictures if possible of the agreed upon alterations I will share my experience with ***, and consumer affairs and also with the my neighorborsThe store did give me my $alteration refund back but did not offer any other compensation for ruining the dressThey told be go to courtI have a lawyer in my family and may consider going to small claims court as the store *** suggested.

In response to the claim may I add that our customer was in knowledge from the begining that her gown never gone look the same after the sistress job because our tailor have to repair that damage that came with it.In consideration you will see that after sistress job the gown does not shows any irregularity, only it does not have the long that our customer pretend that due to the design pattern we can not modified. When she shows up to try she was in agreed with the job that we just did but when she goes back to home her daughter was really upset because of the decision that she just take about her gown and obviously she just blame our stuff for her decisions. We calling her to came to our store because we just want to know her about the job because she was really interested in knowing how it gone look on her after the alteration. If any other issued was taking in consideration everything was discusting in our premises at the time that she came for the first time.Anyway when our customer shows up with her daughter claiming for her gown, she claims for her money pay which we returned with not discussion just to avoid her displease agains her mother. To your knowledge our stuff is highly qualified and training in good care and job handling for the institutions which it they belong.Once again thank you for your attention and colaboration in this matter,if any additional questions regarless this matter feel free to contact me to the numbers provide with this answer.Good luck

In first place the customer statement is totally a false. This lady show up to the store asking to shortener her gown. But in consideration was that she gets this in sale with a discount price because...

this one show up damages in the outside layer. She wants to cut the gown to remove the damage in that way she will use at her daughther wedding, but at her knowledge that this gown is gone lost the original looking that she was expecting. Our sistress follow the instructions given for the customer, that's why we contact her to let her know about it.When she try the gown at our store we show her that this gown was design in a special shape which was afected because of the cut that was done to cover the damages that originally came with it.The customer require cut 7" aprox. causing the gown be short for the daughter likes for her occasion but under the mother knowledge our sistress did her job with th e best quality and profesional trainning not how this lady claims in this complaint. If you require the piece cut from the gown you can notice that this piece is even in cut and besides the gown shows the style that originally came with this piece.I believe our customer was in a hard position to let her daughther know that she ask for this kind of job.Probably she can not return this gown because she gets this as it was and if you ask wich was the real price that she pays for it you gone be really surprised.Anyway she was in agreement of the job from the begining but after hours she change her mind in consequence for the disagreement she pretends that we pays for a new gown that make happy her daughter and make us look that we are the cause of her personal problems.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

Yes, the dress was on sale at [redacted]'s original price $469 on sale $239.00. I will send a copy of the [redacted]'s receipt, I don't have with me now.   As shown in the attached pictures, the dress was too long for me.  The tulle material part of the dress that overflowed onto the floor had two small tears . With or without the tears that same amount of material that touched the floor needed to be shortened.  As shown in the attached documents is a picture of when I purchased the dress and you can see how the tulle material flowed and how long it was. The other attached picture is when the store own called and texted me a picture showing that the seamstress cut the tulle material too short. If the seamstress did not ruin the dress why did the store [redacted] urgently call me and then send me a picture of the damage. If the dress was altered as I requested she would have waited until I came to pick it up on the weekend. The dress is in three layers, the outer layer is tulle, then inner layer is a polyester and the third is a lace. Why would get measurements and then agree to have the outer layer of the dress which is tulle cut shorter than the inner layer as demonstrated in the attached picture.
I believe the store was negligent in fulfilling thier obligation. I know for the future, to let the seamstress do the measurements and make sure she knows to shorten dresss not change the style. If the seamstress had any doubts she should have called the store [redacted] for clarification.  The dress had a certain flow and shape to it. If I wanted a different style dress I would have purchased a different dress.

Sincerely,
[redacted]

Review: I brought a gown that was for my daughters wedding to be shortened . The [redacted] measured the length as I had on the shoes I was going to wear. The [redacted] for the store was given the dress and she destroyed it. She completely changed the style of the dress by cutting it straight across and did not cut to the design of the dress which was flowing with a trail in the back. Please see picture taken when purchased and the one after she cut it. The [redacted] knew was ruined because she calls me at work and said there was a problem with the dress. She even sent me the photo of the dress showing it was cut incorrectly and that the outer layer was shorter than the inner two. [redacted] refunded alteration charge but would not give me money's towards buying a new Gown. My damaged gown was $239.00. The store does not have a sign saying they are not responsible for damaged alteration clothes.Desired Settlement: I would like money's toward purchasing a new gown
