Customer brought vehicle to dealership to have the head gaskets fixedWe had to pull the engine and send it to a machine shopWhile at the machine shop it was determined that the engine also needed the valves repairedThe dealership was
unaware of this repair until we got the engine back with a billThe customer however did know about it because he had been at the machine shop almost daily checking on the status of his engine and was informed that the repair was being doneThe valve job was approximately $which when the customer refused to pay we ate the costThe fluids were an over sight by the service advisor when putting together the quote and they were also removed from the bill when the customer complainedWe removed the cost of the water pump and timing belt from the original quote because the customer supplied his own partsThe customers was also given a 10% discount on all labor to try to make him happyThe customer was informed of the knock sensor code, declined additional diagnosis, and signed a repair order when he paid his bill stating the check engine light was on with a code for the knock sensorHe is in claiming we did nothingThe technician had a spare wire pigtail and sensor for the vehicle which he installed at no cost to the customer to try and fix the problemWhen they did not fix the problem the customer was informed that more diagnosis would need to be done to identify the problemWhen the vehicle left it was only pulling a code for the knock sensor and nothing for a broken EGR valveWe don't dispute that there weren't other problems with this vehicle that could be addressedHowever we dispute vigorously that we caused any of themWe did the job the customer requestedWe feel we went out of our way eating more than $worth of work for this customer and yet he has still filed a case with Toyota and the Revdex.com over our repairWe feel the customer is trying to use any leverage he can to get something for free

We are very sorry to hear of our customer's complaint and that we were unable to make her happy. Even though we are not responsible for lost or stolen items from our parking lot, we did offer to give this customer a new car battery to replace...

the one that was stolen from her inoperable vehicle. We were not, however, able to simply pay her cash for her loss as this is not our policy with regard to lost or stolen car parts. Our customer's assertion that she was going to use her receipt to return her recently purchased (and used) car battery to Kmart probably wouldn't have worked out as I doubt they allow the return of used automotive batteries if at all. Furthermore, as an act of good faith, we had already given the customer $600 of free labor as she alluded to. We are sorry she is not satisfied but truly feel like we went out of our way for this customer.

The battery would not have been taken if Perry Motors had not left my hood unlached. I believe that makes them responsible for the loss.
The fact that they did not charge me for labor was very nice but I don't believe that makes it alright for parts to be taken from my car.
I was told to bring in my receipt for the battery and that they would reimburse me. So I did and was turned down. I was told "IF" my car still ran that they would have given me one of their batteries.
I no longer want anything from Perry Motors and I will never go to them for auto repair again.
