Purchased new firearm. Operation issue found without firing same. Business refused to exchange and pushed it back on manufacturer. Weapon purhcased 12-11-13 new. Weapon not manipulated in store due to it being covered in oil. Taken home and cleaned. Trigger problem found without firing same. Issue brought to the attention of Seller on 12-16-13. No efforts made to correct. They pushed it back on the manufacturer. Was told take it to a gunsmith(my cost)or send it to manufacturer. Seller took item and sold in same condition I found it in.Desired SettlementSwap weapon for another same make and model (they have in stock) or give me my money backBusiness Response I spoke to Mr. [redacted] yesterday when he called. Due to the sensitivity of the firearms industry and the legalities of paperwork and ATF requirements, we aren't able to exchange the firearm or refund his money. When Mr. [redacted] filled out the paperwork to purchase the gun, he initialed and signed that he understood that firearms were warrantied by the manufacturer and if there was anything he was unhappy with about his new firearm, that it would need to be sent back to the manufacturer. During our conversation on 12/16, I provided Mr. [redacted] with all the information he would need to get in touch with the manufacturer of the gun & assured him they would take care of him, even if the manufacturer saw the need to replace the gun.Furthermore, Mr. [redacted] stated in our conversation that he had not fired the gun, so I'm not sure how he was certain that the gun wasn't properly functioning.Although I would love to help Mr. [redacted], given the circumstance, there's not much I can do other than refer him to the factory for evaluation.
