Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:I did test drive as any one wouldThere was no issue at the time of the test drive which is usually the caseThe fact that I left the dealership and made it 30minutes away before it breaking down & overheating on the highway tells me there WAS something wrongWhile I looked around at the vehicles there I had a gentleman approach me & forewarn me of a head gasket issue with the ***The gentleman was there with another gentleman they both stated their mutual friend had just brought the *** back after buying it the next day from the dealershipHe was there getting his money back earlier that day for the *** the dealership sold him with the head gasket issue & then was resold to meI approached the salesman about this & that is when he stated about the car being taken outta state with no issues so I trusted him & agreed to the 50/warrantyNow I know I should have listened more to the pre warning the gentleman was giving me, However I trusted the salesman of all pplI specifically brought the head gasket issue to his attention & the salesman proceeded to walk me back to the garage area to show me another vehicle in there with a blown head issue & that they were taken care of his issue as they would any issue with the ***I told the salesman, what if it has a head issue & is immobile to get it there for the work being I live hours awayThe salesman told me I have nothing to worry about the car is fine & he would not send myself & a young child on an interstate with an issue like thatWell what do you know he did & here I amOut of $with a vehicle I just purchased and can't even useIt tells you within 1/hour of us leaving the lot we were left to sit on a major highway overheating & losing all fluidsI did call the dealership and was told there was no wayAnd basically got no help no where from this businessThe initial call to explain the issue resulted in..I'm sorry the owner has left for the day please call tomorrowTomorrow came & calls were made & once finally reasching the owner after several attempts & no calls back, he states I need to talk to his mechanicIt took days for this mechanic to be in & then I was told I would get a return call & that never hard to believe about the head gasket & I was getting the run around after advising the car had already been taken for repair estimates & it is def the headI literally had just drove off the lot & hit a highway & had all issuesThe vehicle was in different garages in hoursBoth places giving me slips of a blown head gasket & a $quote for that alone& the knowledge that once you do engine work everything else starts to go slowly but surely because the blown head already put so much stress on the other parts in the engineThis is ridiculous to say the leastI never refused anything from this companyI was never given an offer to even bring it backLike I said I always got the run aroundThe most I was told was that I def was not getting my money back but that he (owner) will speak to his mechanic and call me backWell I haven't heard anything & my phone calls get me nowhereI won't accept the resolution of bringing the vehicle back because that is out of pocket for me after having a dangerous car sold to me to begin withI can't afford to pay a tow hours away for the repair & should not have to being I JUST bought it for $I can't drive the car there that is not an option it's dangerous & the dealership is hours away almostI have no car & out $that is not good business especially after I brought the head to his attention after I was warned and was reassured the other men didn't know what they were talking about etc etc& not even 1/grlater in sitting on a highway with a 1yr old overheating etcThe garages are even telling me if the dealer takes it and "works" on it it will cause soo many other issues down the line.

Dear [redacted]
This letter is to respond to a complaint we have received on 3/23/2015. [redacted] came into our facility on 1/29/2015 looking for a vehicle. She test drove the vehicle listed above and agreed to purchase it. We explained to her our warranty procedures. We do...

have a mechanical 50/50 warranty on most vehicles purchased. The customer was aware before purchasing said vehicle, that the work on the vehicle must be performed here at Persing Auto Sales. When she called, we explained to her that there were no known issues with the vehicle prior to purchase. We asked her to bring in the vehicle for a diagnostic repair and [redacted] refused. Enclosed are copies stating the warranties implied.Regards,

Review: On December 4th, 2013 a car was purchased from this business. The employees and manager assured us that the car was in good condition and that all problems were repaired with no problem. They advised us to keep the car running for battery purposes, and two hours after the purchase the car overheated and all the antifreeze leaked out. The police and fire department arrived and informed us that if the car had been driven, the driver could have died from carbon monoxide poisoning. Also, the car was sold without inspection.Desired Settlement: We would just like our full amount of money returned. They are a fraudulent business, have unethical business standards, and should be penalized for such.

Dear [redacted]:

Re: 2001 Audi A6

This letter is in response to the complaint we have just received from your office on 12/09/13. Complaint Id: [redacted]. **. [redacted] did come in to purchase vehicle listed above on 12/4/13. **. [redacted] did test drive the vehicle on 2 occasions before deciding to make the purchase. **. [redacted] explained to us that he did not want a used battery in the vehicle, so we advised him to purchase a new one. By admission of the customer, the vehicle was left running with a cover on it for a few hours. This will cause carbon monoxide poisoning. At no point was the customer advised to do that by anyone at our establishment. Although the situation is unfortunate, we are not responsible for the customer’s negligence. Attached are copies of signed documents by [redacted] relating to the purchase of the vehicle.

Review: This company who owns a car dealership in my area has recently enacted a repossession on my vehicle illegally and extorted it for a $350 fee. I made all of my payments on time through [redacted] and somehow they did not receive my payment. So, instead of calling to sort it out, they opted to come steal the car from me instead. After proving that my payments were up to date, a rude woman named [redacted] impolitely discouraged me from getting my car back without paying for the tow fee. I feel if this company would have acted more professionally and with more common sense and legality, things would have been alot easier to deal with, but instead they decided to make this experience an ignorant yet enlightening one for me my wife and my newborn child.Desired Settlement: Not applicable at this time.

Re: 2000 Pontiac Sunfire

This letter is in response to the complaint we have just received from your office on 11/25/13. Complaint Id: [redacted]. This vehicle was repossessed on 11/13/13 due to a default in payment that was due on 10/31/13. According to the contract that was signed by [redacted], he agreed that we may pick up vehicle stated above in the event that he fails to make his payments in a timely manner. There is a grace period of 5 days before the vehicle gets sent to collections. Attached is a document signed by [redacted] stating this. The vehicle was picked up 14 days after the payment was due. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that all payments sent by mail are received by due date.

Regards,

Review: I purchased a 1996 ford explorer from this dealer. However it had appeared that the disconnected the battery in order to take the check engine light off of the vehicle. Days later the check engine light appeared after purchase, I had it checked out and I was told a transmission resulting in $2000 dollars in cost would be needed. I went back to the dealership and was completely disregarded. At the time of sale I was also told if I had any problems to bring it v back and they would do a trade in for a newer vehicle and they did not honor that agreement. I also have witnesses to confirm the conversation.Desired Settlement: They should inspect all vehicles and tell buyers what they are paying for.

Review: I purchased a vehicle and at time it was missing one of the isnpection stickers the safety one to be exact the sales men told me that his manager agreed to take of this but when I went back they wanted me to pay for some parts that the vehicle needed I said no becuse I was told that they were going to take care if this, also the drivers seat does not adjust and have some problems getting in and out of the vehicle also I was told to return so they can take care of the problem but I'am afraid that they problably try to make me pay for this also, this dealership is taking advantage of all some of the customers that can not afford to finance a vehicle with banks or other agencies I've saving almost two years for this and some of the money I had left went in to the this vehicle in order to have the inspection corrected THANK YOUDesired Settlement: RETURN THE MONEY I SPEND AT A NEARBY GARAGE FOR THE SAFETY INSPECTION AND FRONT END ALIGNMENT.
