I will NOT being wasting any more of my time amd money with PESI workshops. My experience has been with speakers who think they know everything and can not even answer the questions of the audience. "You know?"

I recently attended a 3 day "Intensive" seminar on EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) hosted by Pesi. This is an advanced clinical technique to treat trauma and PTSD. The brochure promised training in EMDR and to be able to practice this technique with clients after the 3 day training. We were taught something completely different. The Eye Movement techniques, which are at the very heart of the EMDR technique, were NEVER taught. I believe this is false advertising and bait and switch at its worst. I used over $500 of my CEU budget monies, traveled 350 miles, and wasted 3 days of my life learning something that was nothing remotely close to what was advertised. I would caution all clinicians to be VERY wary of this organization's trainings for similar false promises and deceptive advertising. This was the MOST unprofessional training I have ever attended in all my years of earning CEU's.

After a poor seminar that I took (I could have taught it myself and I was a new grad) I started getting 2-4 mailings a week from PESI. I did manage to get off the mailing list after multiple phone calls, but when I moved, I was back on the mailing list and have been trying for 6 months to get off the list. I do not EVER want to take another waste of time class from these people, and they refuse to take me off the mailing list.

I purchased a seminar on The Power o Mindfulness as Practice and did not receive the workshop materials as advertised by PESI. When asked I was told it was not advertised as a part of the package. When I questioned the claim the researched it an found it was in fact listed in the ad they apologized and suggested I return the DVD for a refund. I explained I am not interested in returning the package but would like the product as advertised. This was August 14 with no response.

Review: Contacted this company June 22, 2013 requested to have my name deleted from the mailing list. After continuing to receive flyers I contacted them again Sept 19, 2013 and received reply that my information was deleted but may receive more mailing "due to advance labeling" continued to receive flyers contacted the company again in January of 2014 Again got the same reply My information had been removed but "a few weeks" worth of flyers may still arrive. Since that time have received three flyers in March, and this week one more arrived.

I do not feel the company has deleted my information as requested. They are not sincere, and are following through on commitment to honor my request. I am on the do not mail list nationally and do no appreciate being bombarded each month by flyers.

My information is being obtained from a WA state licensing directory and I do not have any way of deleting on my end.Desired Settlement: I do not want to receive any flyers from this company- No matter how many years they use the state licensing directory they can and should honor my request to opt out
