Pet Kare I Reviews (5)

Revdex.com:
I have sent the attached picture of our baby Sunny who is definitely a Jack Russell Terrier Mix. *** *** assured me that as he gets older perhaps we will know the other mix if it's indeed different from the Yorkie Terrier. My family and I would greatly appreciate a refund and we pray this isn't done to anyone else in the future. I am saddened that Pet Kare does business with such a breeder or kennel. I haven't returned back there since we got out baby. Thank you for your assistance in the matter. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me if Mr*** ***) send the refund as he wrote

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
Thank you for contacting Mr. [redacted] the manager and I am happy he acknowledged our conversation the first time.  I phoned a second time and left a message but haven't heard back from him since.  I will not be returning my baby but I would like the total purchase of my puppy due to false advertisement.  My husband, my son and I love our Sunny.  He is part of our family.  [redacted] of Red Lion Vet.  explained to me that a DNA test will not be 50% or 100% proof and the cost is $195.00.  She told me that as he continues to grow we will see what type of breed(s) he is from.  He is looking and acting more like a Jack Russell Terrier.  He jumps and hops like a Jack Russell Terrier.  I have a friend who works in a Vet. hospital and she is very knowledgeable of breeds.  I wanted to send a picture of my baby but I am only allowed 4 attachments.  Attached are receipts with the following information: The purchase of my Sunny, The first office visit, The first antibiotic due to gagging and coughing and A Second antibiotic due to worms in his stool.  We have bought Sunny the best top foods/toys and we will not be returning any of the stuff that was included inside the crate.  After the purchase of my baby I took a look at the Pet Kare comments and there are a lot more negative comments then positive ones.  Why does Pet Kare due business with a breeder/kennel that doesn't have a good reputation?  I only wish I could of looked into this earlier.  Thank you once again for assisting me in this situation.  God bless, [redacted]

I apologies that I have not answered this complaint in a timely manner.  The Email was moved to a folder by an employee and I was unaware that this matter was not satisfied.  I was under the impression that we were taking the advice from her Vet and doing a DNA test.  Now, I guess, the same Vet or  a different Vet is saying to not do the DNA test.  I thought we agreed that was the direction we all agreed to take.  So understandably, I am confused.  Therefore, I am requesting a resent photo of the puppy so I can see how the dog looks at this point.  I am also very knowledgeable of dog breeds.  I realize that the customer will probably view my opinion as biased.  I am planning on mailing a check to the customer for the price paid for the puppy.  Before I do that, I think it would be in my best interest to take a look at the puppy.  Some mixed breed puppies can change their appearance as they grow, sometimes rather drastic.
Please send the photo to [redacted] .

Thank you for bringing this issue to my attention and letting me know the customer's desire to rectify the situation. I did speak to her on the phone briefly a few days or a week after her purchasing the puppy. I also expressed to her that I was also curious as to the actual breed of this...

puppy. Unfortunately I have to go by the "word'" and the paper work that I receive from the people that I get my animals from. That is an issue that anyone has to deal with when they/we buy a dog that is a mixed breed. When there is no registration paper work on a puppy, then there is no way to trace lineage on these dogs. That is a risk we all take when we purchase an unregistered puppy. The mistake that I believe that Pet Kare I made is that we did not express this to the customer in writing prior to her purchasing this puppy. I also think that the customer has a legitimate complaint and I would love to know the results of the DNA test. That is the only way to know for sure the true breed of this puppy. I have no problem reimbursing this customer the purchase price of the puppy if the results come back and prove the puppy is not what we advertised it to be. I would also give her the option of keeping the puppy, or I would be glad to take him back and place him in a loving home if she does not or cannot keep him. I would also reimburse her for the cost of the DNA test if the puppy turns out to be a
different breed then what we advertised. As for the food and supplies,I completely disagree that any of it is in "'poor quality" . I have been in the pet business for over 20 years and I would consider myself an expert in this field.  I stand behind everything that she purchased that day.  If for any reason the merchandise she purchased fails her in anyway she can bring it back to the store and I will either refund her or help her get the correct product that she may need.  I would be concerned for the puppy's well being if she were to keep the puppy. but brought back the supplies. Therefore. If the customer decides to return the dog I will be glad to take the merchandise back. If she decides to keep the dog then she will need these supplies to care for her new member of the family. I hope my offer will resolve the situation and I am truly sorry that she had a bad experience shopping at my store. My managers and I have had numerous discussions on how to curb this from happening in the future.  We have had a lot of success in the past placing puppies in loving homes and it brings us great joy to hear from those happy families.

Review: My husband and I visited with a few puppies in Pet Kare a few times. We were warned by many people not to do it because the puppies are from bad breeders but we didn't know any personal breeders in DE. After losing 2 wonderful dogs to cancer we were finally ready. I am extremely disappointed because we trusted in the information provided to us by the people in Pet Kare due to not having any knowledge of different puppy/doggie breeds. I have extreme allergies and thought I was purchasing a Yo-Chon according to the advertisement on the crate. A friend who is a pet groomer assured my husband and I that he isn't a Yo-Chon. I cried all weekend and didn't know what to do so I called Pet Kare and spoke to Kevin the manager. I told him that I was very disappointed in the false advertisement and he told me that he was wondering the same about my puppy's breed. He told me to return him and I can get a full refund but because we have had him for 1 week we won't do it. It isn't a pair of shoes or a dress that I can return and replace that easy. It isn't the puppies fault that he was advertised falsely. I told him $697.00 is a lot of money for a puppy that has an unknown breed. I purchased a crate full of poor food and puppy supplies for $152.??. I am taking him to the vet I trust and love (Dr. Manetti of Red Lion Veterinary Hospital in Bear) and will have her do a DNA test and a lot of testings needed to know the health of the puppy. Andy Yoder isn't a breeder that you can trust and my puppy might not be in good health (?). I will not return the puppy but I think they should refund me my entire money due to false advertisement. I am very hurt and upset. Please give me some advice. Thank you.Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund so I can pay for ALL the testings [redacted] has to do on my puppy. It isn't his fault that bad people brought him and sold him into this world. It breaks my heart. Please help me. Thank you.
