Pet Pantry Inc Reviews (2)

Honestly I don’t even know where to start about this place. First of all their staff are complete mns they recommended Eukaneuba to us as the best dog food not only does this product contain corn which we found out later from someone who actually knows about dogs that is an allergen which means that it is completely unhealthy for dogs but it also made our dog have really bad dandruff and made the poor little thing lose hair. Not only was that heart breaking but this pet store is now doing financing with a company that is rated D on the Revdex.com and has about 100 complaints against them the reason we found this out was because instead of waiting 90 days no interest they made a dog that cost about 1500 cost about 2000 because “we should have read the fine print”. These people do not know how to handle dogs nor do they care. They had told us in the beginning that the reason why it looked like our dog had dandruff was because of the paper inside the tiny cage which obviously was a lie these people are so beyond untrustworthy and unreliable with their knowledge of dogs I promise to make it a point I tell everyone I know not to but from these people.

Review: They have the most premature, and unsettling small animal warranty that my family and I have ever witnessed. The warranty for small animals is three days. Are you kidding me? Three days is not even an adequate time to see if your animal will be okay or not. If there is something wrong with your animal in that little of a time frame, then I would think that, that animal's illness or death was already imminent due to the treatment it had previously gotten from their handlers, A.K.A the breeders it came from and the employees from Pet Pantry before it has been sold to their customers. I say this, because I have recently got two baby rabbits from here, who have died approximately a week to two weeks after purchasing them. The first rabbit, was actually a Christmas gift from my mother but died EXACTLY on Christmas. My mother is a responsible person who's had experience with a variety of animals; she made sure the rabbit's cage was clean, he was fed/given fresh water, had light, interaction, yet it died. Soon after, my mother called the store, where one of the employees said that the rabbit was probably sick beforehand. What kind of a pet store would have the decency to sell a sick animal, especially when it is weeks old to their consumers? Completely unprofessional and shameful. After the employee discovered the rabbit death, she told me that I can get a new one for free. On January 3rd, my mother and I went to get a new rabbit, low and behold, the same exact thing happened to it. Yesterday, that rabbit died. It couldn't have possibly die from me feeding it, cleaning its cage, giving it exercise/time out of the cage twice a day for an hour to two hours, chew toys, solace, and a comfortable place to be situated in (temperature wise). I have spoken to my family, researched online, and a PetSmart employee knowledgeable on rabbits where we all agreed that it was sick, not given proper nourishment (probably because it still needed the mother), and sold way too young. This, is crooked business practice.Desired Settlement: I would like the Pet Pantry to have new employees who actually care about the well being of the animals that they are selling and make sure to buy from a well reputable breeder who have their animals healthy to sell, before Pet Pantry has the nerve to sell those animals to the public. If they can't rehire people, at least have some KNOWLEDGE about taking care of animals and providing exact information about the animal to their customers. They should also change their 3 day warranty to a month.

Response:

We have gotten bunnies from same breeders for quit some time. We have very nice healthy bunnies. I would like to help [redacted]. Yes we do have a small animal warranty with our number at the top. If there is questions or problems we want to help. I have been here for 34 years. I don't have sales person named [redacted]. We have meetings once a month and alot of my employees have been here for a long time. Small animals can get over handled, be too hot ,or too cold, they can be scared by other animals. Was there anything noticed by [redacted]s Mom before bunny perished? Was bunny eating? We don't like unhappy customers. We do care about our animals. We have workers here 3 hours before we open cleaning and feeding and all thru out day. Please call me directly so we can see what went wrong. I personally would like to help you. [redacted]. We also try to keep separate bunnies from different breeders and most of our breeders know we don't like them too young. We would like you to have a healthy bunny please call us we will talk and perhaps your mom too the person actually taking care we can see about giving proper instructions. [redacted]
