This is a copy of my response to her on [redacted] Ms [redacted] I am sorry you feel this way but you went to the vet and came to our shop with no proof it was our faultYour vet could give you no exact reason for all we know your dog has allergies which are quite common this time of the yearIt is highly unusual for someone to ask for their grooming money back when there was nothing wrong with the groomingYou said he started coughing two days after he was groomedWe have had no incidences of kennel cough, nor was he injured or he would have been coughing immediatelyYou have been here times and last time you said getting you dog groomed made not only him itch but your other dog as wellI hope you find a groomer that suits you.?

Pet Paradise was leased to another company on May 1st of 2015. They kept the business name but that is the extent of our relationship. SMG Investments LLC is now the owner and manager of Pet Paradise.We are saddened over the lose of your husky. They are a beautiful dog and

We are writing to clarify the resolution we are seeking in our complaint against Pet Paradise for her death while under their careProvide an explanation for why she was not placed in the outdoor enclosed dog run that a staff member showed my husband when he visited the facility to determine if it was a good place to board ***Provide an explanation for the extensive length of time, over hours, that she went unsupervised outdoors. We determined this time through our call to the *** Police Officer on 7/11/2015, who received the call from a distraught person who reported hitting her in front of their business until the time that we were notified by Summer G***, owner, Pet Paradise that she was killed. The people that took her body into Pet Paradise told us the staff at Pet Paradise were not even aware she was goneDescribe steps they will take to ensure the safety of dogs under their care so that if one staff member communicates to a customer the outdoor enclosure will be used, that information will be passed to staff that work on the weekend shiftPay the business (Horizon Pet Crematory) that Summer G***/Pet Paradise had come pick up ***'s body for refrigeration. Our experience with Jeff *** of Deck and Patio TuneUp was nothing less than outstanding He made my wife's vision and dream of a deck and pergola on the front of our house a reality My wife and I are both perfectionist and I am happy to say the DPT exceeded our expectations and our eye for detail Every cut was exact and every angle perfect We could not be happier! Jeff and his crew showed up when promised and cleaned up every day They were professional, friendly, and hardworking We have had numerous neighbors, friends, and family comment on how great the front of our house looks We have even had strangers stop, get out, and compliment our deck and pergola I highly recommend Jeff *** and Deck and Patio TuneUp for any project you are considering He has restored my faith in local contractors

These guys were prompt, efficient, very thorough, and had attention to detail Jeff listened to my concerns and provided a few alternative solutions to meet my objectives Our decks have been restored back to mint condition and should have a longer life span thanks to the work applied Job well done!

In years of dealing with customer service I can say that Deck & Patio Tune Up surpassed our expectations in customer service and professionalism. They produced a quality product while enhancing the porch with their excellent craftsmanship. We converted a deck into a screened in porch that well exceeded our expectations. Jeff and his crew were very accommodating with our requests and courteous throughout the project. I would highly recommend DPTU for any deck or patio project. They have the creativity and experience to undertake your outdoor construction needs.

Review: I brought my shihtzu here for the first time yesterday. He gets very nervous with groomers and I warned them of that. He does not bite or ever tried to with anyone. When I picked him up they told me that he had popped a blood vessel in his eye. Naturally, I was upset but I felt a little at ease when they told me it has happened before and he will not be in pain it will go down in a few days and he does not need vet attention. I left and once I got in the car I noticed he was acting strange, he was whimpering and trying to scratch at the affected eye with his paws and trying to rub it on anything he could. I called my local vet and tried explaining what it look like. She was concerned and told me to bring him in. It turned out that it was not a popped blood vessel. He was being held by the neck too tight and the strain made his eye pop out further than normal. This caused swelling in the back of his eye and caused a thick red swollen layer from behind the eye to swell over the front of his eye. He could barely close his eye. The vet perscriebed medication and said luckily it did not impair his vision. I was upset that Pet Paradise would tell me to not call a vet and when I called when they opened the next morning they said they are not responsible for what happens to ill tempered animals. I do not agree with that at all. My dogs are like my children and it makes me very upset that they would treat my dog this way and then tell me he was ill tempered. I also told them I would have appreciated a phone call to at least tell me he was being too hard to handle rather than have him get hurt and inform me after I pay and pick him up.Desired Settlement: I would like for my vet bills to be paid for.

In response to her complaint; when she came in she told us the dog was nervous. Never did she tell us about the dog's resistant disposition over trying to do anything with the his head until she came in to pick up the dog and was questioned by our groomer [redacted]. It wasn't until she came to pick him up that she then told [redacted] one place asked her not to come back with him and another had sedated him. Yet she says that is a lie and she was happy at the other places. Why then would she search for another groomer? She proceeded to tell her in order to do anything to his head at home she has to hold him on the floor. He did throw a fit about his head (not totally uncommon) we usually choose to proceed get the job done (giving into tantrums only make both kids and dogs worse to handle the next time) and the dogs usually start to do fine after coming a few times. They then realize grooming doesn't hurt and throw a fit doesn't stop the process. In order to finish the grooming we do have to hold them still so we don't stab or cut them with the scissors. This avoids the dog getting injured. Shih Tzu, Lhasa, Pugs, etc have bugling eyes and can easily break a blood vessel struggling. We do everything in our power to a good job of grooming with the least trauma to the dogs, but dogs that are ill tempered (definition being not just snappy but resistant or hard to get along with) can hurt us or themselves and there for we do post a disclaimer for this reason. It is always upsetting to us if something does happen (it's rare) so we called our Veterinarian who is familiar with this said it would be fine in a day or two with no visit needed. We can not be responsible for any dog that freaks out during a simply grooming procedure. If it had been from a scissor or clipper injury that is our neglect in being careful and we would pay the bill. In the past 25 yrs we've paid four vet bills and took the dogs ourselves because we felt responsible. We can not be responsible for every dog that throws a fit. Again, there is a disclaimer posted for this reason. We have been in business for over 25 years with a great reputation. It is puzzling to me how we can groom hundreds of clients dogs and do thousands of grooming every year, most dogs we groom multiple times a year with no incident. But a dogs who comes one time matted that has had multiple groomers at only 8 months old has a problem with us. You never know what has done before to make a dog act freaky but matting is a red flag that the owner either won't o¡ can't groom them themselves. Dogs should have one groomer to get familiar with and stay there, this gets the dog in a routine helping to lessen stress and confusion. Owners should also have their dogs trained to be well mannered and acclimated to the grooming process prior to being brought to a groomer or let a good groomer start them earl in age correctly; so they are not traumatized by the process. We are sorry this incident occurred but we will not reimburse her vet bill.Sincerely & Regretfully,[redacted]

I am not satisfied with the story they made up about my dog. They did not respond professionally nor did they solve the problem. Their solution was to try to cover themselves and make up false information about my dog.
