I have a new puppy and I was looking for urine removal products. My Pet Peed's product soon showed up in my *** feed. I decided to give it a try. I thought I had selected the "starter pack" and completed my order. I received my product a while later and it appeared different than the "starter pack" I thought I had placed.

I commented on the *** that I purchased the product from that the order isn't what I expected. I received a public response assuring me that what I received was correct. In response, I replied that I could have sworn I ordered the different package, but unfortunately have no way to prove it. Instead of messaging me on how they can help me with this, they posted a screenshot of my invoice on their public *** for all to see. My purchase data, *** email address, town of residence, and state of residence were are in full view.

I told the company that sharing my personal information publicly is not the correct way to handle this and advised them to remove the screenshot. The reply I received was that the only way that the screenshot was going to get removed was if I removed the original post stating that I thought I received the wrong order.

Ms. purchased 2 quarts of our product. Once she received it, instead of reaching out to us privately, she publicly posted on our *** that we didn't send what she ordered. I replied back that we sent her exactly what she ordered, only for her to respond that she "knew" she ordered something different and because she didn't have a screenshot of it, to her it was a "lesson learned". Our customer see these threads, it's public! So I posted back to her a screenshot of her order, and I blacked out her address, her email address, her phone number and any important information. The screenshot proved that we sent her exactly what she ordered. I don't see how there is a relevant complaint here.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.

The fact remains that the company posted the invoice on a public forum instead of messaging me it instead. The invoice (attached) DOES show private data including the following information: *** town/state/zip code that I reside, how I paid my order, and my email address. I did not give them permission to publish any of this data publicly on any format. The publicizing of my private information is both morally averse and legally questionable due to the invasion of my privacy.

The public posting of private information should never be allowable, especially when there are other ways to handle such matters. This company needs to be made aware of this and change their practices accordingly.

For future reference: if a customer has an issue with an order, contact them privately instead of sharing their personal information publicly. Once the issue is resolved then you can ask the customer to remove the comment or state that it has been resolved. Posting their private data under the comment, refusing to remove their private data, and stating that if they want it removed they should remove the comment-- is simply not appropriate. Please edit your policy on handling personal information and improve your customer service skills.

Ms. posted publicly on a *** ad our company is running. She claimed false accusations about her order on more than one instance. When she was not satisfied with our response and said she didn't have a screenshot of her order (again, publicly) we provided it to her on the thread she created. We have over 500 comments per day on our ads, running multiple ads, If she wanted to handle this matter privately she would not have posted on a public form for all to see. Not only can we not find this comment anymore, she is the one who can simply solve this. matter by deleting her comment, in turn will delete the entire thread. Our customer service takes private data seriously and in no way shape or form did any data breach transpire here. Her credit card information was not exposed. Her transaction screenshot showing and *** email address, and city and state violates no rule whatsoever. This case is closed on our end.
