This is nothing that we take lightly, and we feel terrible that this happened at our facilityWe have been in business for years and we treat every animal that comes here like they are one of our own.We board many cats and when they are here for an extended stay we put them in one of our suites
which allows them more space and a room with a windowIt was always our policy that when it was a nice day we would open the window to give them fresh airSince this incident where Taz ate a hole through the screen, we have changed the policy to no open windows.I made the decision not to call the owners since they were away on a trip and wouldn't be back till days laterWe did immediately start searching for TazWe set live traps in different areas and contacted the surrounding neighbors, letting them know that we were missing a cat and if they saw anything to please contact usWe had people search a couple of nearby barns that were vacant.When the owners returned they asked that we put an ad in the paper and offer a rewardWe did put the ad in the paper which ran for weeks and we also offered a reward for the return of the catWE also set the live traps for several more weeks in different areas with no luck in seeing Taz.We want the owners to know that this has been a very sad thing for us alsoWe do care for these animals like they are one of our familyI know they are feeling sad over this loss and they were wonderful owners to take in this cat and care for it.If you have any other questions please feel free to contact meMy personal # is ***Thank you*** ***Owner Pet Retreat
