Dear Laura, I am writing in response to the complaint filed by *** ***, *** *** *** North Branch, MN. The case ID# is ***. Our service tech was called to the residence because the air conditioner was not working at the time. Upon inspection
of the unit he found that some of the electrical components were weak by using standard test methods. Electrical components such as capacitors, contactors and compressors have specified readings that determine if they are in need of replacement or near failureBecause the tech found weak components, the option to replace parts to get the unit operational or to replace the unit because of its age were given. The air conditioning unit is over years old and the home owner was given the option to repair or replace. They chose to replace the air conditioner. The tech did reassemble the unit after testing and as stated the homeowner turned it on later and it worked. With the initial call being the air conditioner was not operational and the diagnosis being weak components, I would believe that the unit will fail again soon and either repair or replacement will have to be done at that point. The customers check was returned and he received the service of getting his air conditioner "working" again at no charge. There was no intent of selling something not needed or misleading in any way. I am rejecting this response because:I'm not accepting or rejecting the response from the companyI spoke with the company when they called todayThey have agreed to give me my money back plus $for the time, hassle and propane costs I've incurredNeighborhood Plumbing wants to pick up the water heater unit before they refund the money to meBecause of the Holidays and the extremely cold weather I have been having a hard time getting someone into my house to get their system removed and a new system inI have someone scheduled for tomorrow but they have not set a time so I'm worried they may reschedule for another day.I am concerned the system Neighborhood installed may have damaged our existing equipment and we may have issues when the new unit is installedSince Neighborhood Plumbing has admitted the system they installed was not the correct system for our home that is a definite possibilityOnce the new system is installed and there are no issues with existing equipment and all is up and running I will contact the Neighborhood Plumbing to pick up their unit.I will wait to accept the companies response until our new unit is installed with no existing equipment failures, their unit is picked up and the money is refunded to me

Re: Complaint *** We were called for no heat on exiting furnace on 09/29/Found an older furnace, more than years, that had multiple issues. Mrs ***, owner of the home, decided to do repairs that totaled nearly $which included a new draft inducer motor and new controls
that had shorted out for the inducer leakingWhen parts arrived the technician returned to install and she chose to replace the furnace rather than repair. She was given options for different furnaces and chose to have a better furnace installed with a better warranty. She is living on her own and was asked if anyone needed to be in on the decision making. She said she could make the decision on her own. We installed the furnace and she was happy with everything and paid the billShortly after we received a call from her daughter, *** ***, and was told her mother had dementia and she felt we took advantage of her. We did not know of any dementia and certainly did not want to create a situation of that implication. After discussion with Ms *** we reached an agreement to refund $in cash to Mrs ***. Ms *** was well satisfied with our offer. The cash was refunded on 10/16/2017. We have made several attempts to contact this customer to remove the unit we installed and refund all of the money she has paid.  The last contact we had, [redacted] stated she wanted to wait until she had someone set up to install another nit before we remove the one we installed.  We have...

since let her 3 voice mails in an attempt to get the unit removed.  We have not heard from her to this date.  At this point we are on hold until we receive notice from her that we can come and remove the unit and refund her what she has paid.  I will keep the Revdex.com informed as to the progress of this issue as we move forward.Gary [redacted]\Neighborhood Plumbing Heating & Air Conditioning
