Review: To Whom It May Concern,My friend took my dog, 1 year old Golden Retriever, to Petco in Annandale/VA on November 24, 2014 Monday at 8:00pm. While they were shopping in Petco, another dog, a Pitbull, attacked my dog and bit his face close to his mouth area severely and bit my friends finger while she was trying to rescue my dog from that aggressive dog. From that point, things got out of control and the Pitbull owner refused to give any of his contact information and ran away from the store. I came from overseas on November 27, 2014 Thursday night and informed by my friend about the incident. Since it was a Thanksgiving night, I waited until today to call Petco Annandale location. The General Manager of that location, Ms. Elizabeth, told me that they filed the report but she said that the owner of the Pitbull refused to give his information to them and Petco is not authorized to ask the customers information. So in another words, a careless owner got away from this because Petco is not allowed to ask his information. They did not even ask if that dog is fully vaccinated and have any records regarding his rabies shot. The General Manager contacted District Manager, Greg M[redacted], and he told Ms. Elizabeth that he cannot give any information or cannot release any video recordings about this incident. I asked Ms. Elizabeth about District Managers contact information and the report regarding this incident. She told me that she cannot give me the report and the District Managers contact information. She told me that she can ask the District Manager to call me back but he did not bother to call me at all. If it was a shoplifting incident, Petco would use all of its power to seek legal actions but I guess the lives of your customers and their animals are not something to be bothered while they are visiting your stores.I got a report from my dogs vet and I will seek all the legal actions against Petco for allowing aggressive dogs inside the store, not taking any contact information from the irresponsible Pitbull owner and not taking care of this incident at all. I will use all of my legal rights to sue both Petco and the owner of the Pitbull for punitive and emotional distress damages. This could have happened to small children or other animals and apparently Petco is not taking responsibility for this kind of serious injuries. My dog is physically injured, emotionally distressed and he could have been killed there, and I will not tolerate this at all. I attached the photos, vets report and invoices to this email. I would like to believe that Petco would take responsibility and contact me with a solution regarding this traumatizing experience.Sincerely,[redacted]Desired Settlement: I will either get the information about the Pitbull owner so I can sue him for all the damages or Petco needs to pay for my bill.
