*** *iewed the pictures which *** sent to the Revdex.com--the same pictures which she had sent to Little John's He once again said that those scratches/gouges were not done by our men*** was the supervisor on the move that day The white marks may be paint from the white doorway molding and that was why *** offered to go to her new residence to clean off the marks He was even willing to touch up any scratches on the furniture As was stated in our original reply to the Revdex.com *** was given the option to have *** go to her home to take care of the marks and scratches or to accept $as settlement At first she said that *** could to go to her home for the repaor, however, then decided to choose to accept the $and take care of the marks herself All movers in Connecticut carry a valuation of cents per pound in cases of a total loss to furniture If the furniture can be repaired, then a repair is made *** chose to accept the $and Little John's considers the choice she made as settlement Though *** states in her second letter to the Revdex.com that she does not accept the settlement, she did accept the settlement and cashed the check that Little John's sent stating it was for payment in full for settlement Tell us why here

I am rejecting this response because I was not going to take time off of work to have *** come to attempt to fix the furniture He is not a furniture repair man and the time he was available aree my work hours I work for a public school district with behavioral children and can not just take time off of work At the time when the dollars was offered as a settlement (two months after the move) I stated that was unacceptable as a settlement but as stated earlier, I was not getting anywhere with the customer service department of this company I had professionals look at the furniture and the cost to fix the items were much higher than the dollars This is why this is unacceptable as a final amount settlement for the damaged furniture.

***, the receptionist, talked with *** *** several times on the phone regarding the alleged damage to her furniture and walls *** emailed pictures to Little John's Movers so that *** could look at the alleged damages The bed room furniture our men moved was very old and ***
could not determine from the photos of the scratches on the furniture were old/existing scratches (that looked as if they were from a cat) or if they were recent scratches Also *** could not determine if any wall damage was preexisting.*** the office manager, called *** back and discussed the photos noting that several photos were of the same item as *** said that he could see the doily that was on one of the pieces in a couple of pictures*** called *** a second time to ask her when she wanted *** to go look at any alleged damage and repair the damage *** told *** that she did not want *** *ne of the owners, to go out to look at the alleged damage to the walls or furniture and repair any bedroom furniture When *** asked *** if she wanted to agree to a settlement, *** agreed to accept a $settlement Little John's Movers sent her the settlement check(check # 17000) of $which stated on it "payment in full for settlement/scratches." *** endorsed and cashed the settlement check.In response to *** claim that the movers only moved pieces of furniture: that was the amount of furniture *** told the office she had to move, however, our foot tuck (which can hold up to to Rooms of furniture) was packed fully with household items--furniture, mirrors, boxes and bins, etc Our men also moved a box spring and mattress from the basement up to her bedroom for her when she asked them if they would *** was aware that Little John's Movers charges on actual time from portal to portal Both owners of the business, ***t and *** were on *** move We are a family owned and operated business We have been in business since and have never left a customer unsatisfied *** ***Little John's Movers, Inc

I reject the response from Little John’s Moving Company because they did leave this customer unsatisfied; which was expressed to every individual I spoke to at the company. The customer service was unacceptable, rude, and downright disrespectful.  The bedroom furniture is solid wood and was in excellent condition regardless of what has been identified as “old.”  The desk was purchased a year ago from [redacted] this would be considered new. Please see attached photos of damage done to the home and furniture.  They match with the damage.  The writer witnessed two young movers hit the larger dresser and laugh.  I told them to be careful, and they laughed as they went down the stairs.  [redacted] was much more personable and helpful than [redacted] I expressed that they were different pieces of furniture but part of the same set.  I rejected [redacted] coming to the home because he was not flexible with time and I could not take time off from my career to further be disrespected by this company.  I did not settle for 50 dollars.  They told me this was all they would give me as a settlement.  (When originally it was stated that it would be .70 cents per pound)  If I wasn’t happy, I could contact a lawyer.  At that time, I did tell Jan, that I would be contacting the Revdex.com and spread the word about their business etiquette.   The accusation of the scratches being from a cat is impossible, as my cat does not have front claws and look nothing like a cat could possibly do.   I do not accept a 50 dollar settlement for the damaged furniture and home repairs.
