I spoke with [redacted] from the business and he stated that the consumer found out that a wire was crossed and the fuse blewHe told the consumer to get in contact with him on Friday with a receipt of the amount it was to have the problem fixed and he will refund the consumer

I have reviewed the offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this
proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
*** sent a message to the Revdex.com stating that the car was fixed and he had extended the warranty to begin on yesterdays' date, 3/6/
My husband and son picked the car up last evening, on the way home the car was not gearing up and down like a transmission should My husband drove the car back down to *** shop this morning and it continued not changing gears correctly *** told us to bring it back for him to look at it My husband has asked him not to break the transmission apart again, if it is not something that can be fixed going through the top of the motor then we don't want it disassembled We told him we would be back on Monday to pick the car up to take it somewhere else, should he not be able to fix the problem over the weekend He has tried two different transmissions and several other parts and not been able to fix it We believe that being without a car for months is uncalled for, not to mention the taxes, tags, and insurance that we are paying and we are not even able to have possession of the car It is time for *** to refund our money so that we can find a reputable shop to fix our car

I spoke with the consumer about the receipt and the refund and she stated that when they went by the shop, the doors were shut and no one was there. [redacted] was supposed to call them on Friday and they have not heard from him.

[redacted] called from the business and stated that the transmission is finished and ready to be picked up and he extended the warranty to start today.

Review: My husband and I took my son's car to [redacted] for him to rebuild the transmission. We paid him $550.00 (half up front) We delivered the car to him on October 12, 2013. After much frustration at the length of time it was taking him we finally got the car back on November 25, 2013, at which time we paid the rest of the $1,100.00. We had the car back two days before the problem (same as before we took it to him) began again. My husband called him to let him know and he told us to drive it until after Thanksgiving, that it would not hurt it. We dropped it back off at his shop on Sunday, December 1, 2013. My husband goes by daily to find that he is not trying to get the car back together. Every day he says it will be ready tomorrow. The gentlemen that hang around his shop confirms to us that he has not even touched it some weeks. The car has been in his possession the majority of 4 months now and we cannot get him to finish the job so we can get our car back.Desired Settlement: We would like our money back and the car put back together so that we can come get it and have it fixed. This has put our family at a severe disadvantage with 4 of us in the household working and having different shifts.

Review: My vehicle was dropped off for repairs on January 6th, it was promised to be ready the following Sunday. However, Mr. James has made multiple excuses for not having my vehicle ready. He was given $600 when the vehicle was dropped off and would be given the rest once the truck was picked up. I have had to rent numerous vehicles to get me to and from work and have even had to call out of work due to not having my truck back. Which is putting a toll on my employment. I need my truck fixed and would like compensation from Mr. James for the money I have lost as well as the money given at the initial drop off.Desired Settlement: I would like reimbursement for the money given at drop off and for the money I've spent on rental vehicles.
