the topsoil before the delivery to make sure it meets her specifications

Our topsoil is screened through a *** screenFill dirt is clay and we don't even carry itMsMiller did not use the proper product for her gardenStraight topsoil is used to fill low spots or holes in the groundShe needed to use our Amended Soil, which is comprised of *** screened
topsoil and *** organic leaf compostThis soil is rich in nutrients for growing any plant materialAs for the crabgrass seeds, there is no way to be certain that the seeds came from the topsoil MsMiller purchased from *** ***, Inc., particularly when she used two other products from a different supplierThe owner of the company called MsMiller and offered to give her a cubic yard of organic leaf compost free of charge to help her with her problem

Anything that is impractical and impossible is not any kind of a resolution at all.  This is an insult to me and worse than if the owner had made no response at all.  He knows there is no way the dirt can be returned, though I will be more than happy to bring the owner all the trash I have removed from it.  Obviously the owner knew this at the time he made his response and therefore, no kind of resolution or agreement was ever intended on his part.  This response was appalling and absolutely unacceptable.  I can't believe this business has been in business for as long as it has if this is how they treat their customers.

Revdex.com spoke with Mr. [redacted] from the business. While he is sorry the customer was not satisfied with the dirt he was not notified at the first sight of issue. Due to this he was not able to have his employees inspect the dirt until days after it had been spread. Mr. Rose was not the one that went out to look at the dirt but he did send an employee that did inspect the dirt. While he did not find anything that would warrant a compensation of the price if the customer would like to return the dirt the business will refund the price. The dirt however would have to be returned.

Complaint # [redacted].  With regards to the gentleman who spread the dirt in my back yard I cannot answer for why he did not contact me.  I do not have control over others' actions.  As far as my interactions with him, those are not the affair of Pete Rose, Inc.  The employee who came out early Wed. a.m. 10/28/16 did not knock on my door, nor did he call either of my phone numbers (both had been provided to the company) or make any effort to speak with me.  Had he done so I could have showed him what the issues are, which was my plan.  When we spoke on the phone later that morning he insisted everything looked "fine".  I had spoken to the owner the day before.  He told me he was coming out to look at the dirt himself.  He was supposed to call before he came.  He never called and never came out himself - he sent someone else.  The employee who came out said he saw no glass but shortly after hanging up the phone with his boss Wed. a.m. I went out to the yard, the side opposite the driveway, where the spread dirt meets the front yard.  There was a large piece of glass right on the edge of the dirt very obvious, hard to miss.  This employee also stated, when I asked him, that he had not seen all the trash (from the soil they delivered) I had placed in the driveway.  You have to walk to the end of the driveway to get to the back yard where the dirt was spread.  Had he done that there is no way he would have missed all the trash I left there.  I have to question at this point whether this employee actually got out of his vehicle when he was here.  When I spoke with the owner the first time on Tues. 10/27,when he told me he was coming out the next day, he sounded willing to compensate me in some way.  When we spoke the next day on Wed. he was insistent that everything was fine, taking the word of his employee over mine without having been out to see for himself.  He kept insisting that "you occasionally get a little organic material mixed in" but I had already listed for him the items that were found - a plastic hair comb, a 2 foot long piece of plastic coated wire, a large steel bolt, a 6 inch piece of steel that was rusted, a piece of string, several pieces of plastic, and numerous pieces of glass.  These are not organic materials and do not belong in, nor would they ever be expected, purchased top soil.  Had the owner offered to come out himself when it was clear I was still not happy I would not have filed a complaint with the Revdex.com.  But he was insistent everything was fine based only on the word of an employee who missed the very obvious when he was out here.  I have never dealt with a company that was completely unwilling to do anything to satisfy an unhappy customer.  The owners actions have been very disappointing and extremely unprofessional.  This is a very poor way to run a business.  I feel I should I should be reimbursed for at least some of what I spent for the time & effort I've had to spend picking trash out of the mud and because this company has such an uncaring attitude about a customer problem.

Review: I ordered 12 yards of top soil from this company which was delivered Friday Oct. 23, 2015 as scheduled. I was out of town that Friday & weekend but hired someone to spread the dirt in the back yard that weekend. When I returned home late Sunday afternoon I discovered the dirt had a lot of trash in it. There were numerous rocks, numerous sticks and pieces of wood, several plant roots ,a plastic comb, a 2 foot long piece of plastic coated wire, multiple pieces of glass, a piece of steel about 8 inches long, a large bolt, and 3 or 4 items I could not identify. I called the company twice and spoke with boss/ supervisor Pete. The first day he said he would come out the next day & look at the dirt & promised to call me first. He mentioned possibly refunding some of my money. The next day he did not call me and sent another employee out early in the morning. I spoke with them the second time that day & they both insisted everything was fine and seemed unwilling to further address my concerns or offer any compensation. Revdex.com- please contact me by phone for details.Desired Settlement: I feel I should be compensated for the cost of the dirt since I feel the company seemed unwilling to believe there was any problem with their top soil.
