Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:This is not about me winning a free TVThis flyer is misleading, unethical, and a predatory tactic to get people into the dealership to purchase a vehicleThe flyer in large print shows there are four potential prizes to win a) $cash, b) 55" 4KTV, c) Apple iPad Pro, d) Smart watchAt no place on the flyer, other than in the tiny print, is there a mention of a vacation package as a prizeHowever, this is a relatively minor issue compared to the next tactic used on the flyerThe flyer shows that if you match a set of three matching symbols (BAR, 7, orange, cherry) that you win a prizeThe misleading part of the flyer is that just to the right of the word "WIN" is one of the four prizesMany people will read this misleading line from left to right and believe they have won the prize that aligns on the row with their matching symbolsThe text on the card, right below the customer name reinforces that a prize has been wonIt states "To play, simply lift tabs on cardIf you have a matching pair, you win!" People with a matching pair are then instructed to proceed to Pete's Auto to claim their prizeAgain, what I find misleading and deceptive is that the prizes are very closely in-line with the matching symbols leading someone to believe they had won the prize in the prize column that matches up with the row of matching symbols (in this case the row of 7s aligns with the TV)Calling the number on the card only gave information about the sale and stated that a prize had been won and to go to the dealership to claim the prizeThis looks and feels like a bait and switch tacticThe bait being the large prize and misleading graphic on the sales flyer, and the switch occurring when a consumer only finds out that they have won a "vacation package" that is really not a package as the consumer must pay all travel costs and a nominal fee to redeem a day/night hotel stay In closing, I do not want a TVWhat I would like to occur is for Pete's to apologize to the public for a misleading advertisement and use more ethical advertising techniques in their future advertisements Sincerely, [redacted] P.SI do have in my possession a full copy of the flyer with the complete game piece

There was a mailer sent out for a special sales event at Pete's Auto SalesThe mailer showed afew of the prizes that could be won.The mailer itself defined and outlined the procedure a recipient should follow, i.e., if your cardhad a matching set of pictures, to bring your mailer (with the
preprinted confirmation code) andthe game card, to Pete's Auto Sales where both would be matched to the prize board and thecorresponding prize would be awardedThe mailer provided full disclosure of, for example,what the vacation package prize included.Everyone who brought in the mailer and confirmation code was a winner and received a prize.As defined in the mailer that the matching set of pictures and the confirmation code, whenmatched against the prize board, determines the prize, Pete's Auto Sales feels that nothingfurther is owed to Mr***.Sincerely, *Please view attached document

Revdex.com spoke with Pete at the business, who explained that the consumer brought the vehicle in for a minor squeak that he repaired when she brought it backA second squeak developed due to brake dust, which is a accumulation, and Pete was willing to fix this also, although it would not have
been covered by the warrantyThe consumer decided to take the vehicle to a competitor and paid to have work done which may not have been needed

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.It was not break dust and when I explained I had to wait for the vehiclePete was very rude and said even if I made an appointment a yr down the Rd I'd have to leave itI was willing to wait at the shop and he flatly said no! When I took it to ** *** it was a very loose rotorAnd the breaksWere not replaced as pete stated to me when buying the carI had to get the rotor fixed new breaksAnd tires as the driver's side was balled in the middleIt was not break dustI still wantRefunded the money's I had to pay to get these things replaced that Pete said he didI fell he just slapped a inspection sticker And it wasn'tDone.

I told *** to drop her car off and we would fix it ,our policy is for customers to drop off cars and they can pick up after repairs ( due to we have no waiting room and parts might need to be ordered) ..Prior to delivering the Toyota Corolla over 2 months ago I replaced the front brakes and rotors , Im attaching copies of my receipts .She therefore decided to take the car she purchase from me for her teenage son To *** *** to look at the brakes and of course they are going to sell her new tires even if she didn't need them
