Dear Representative Revdex.com: My name is Marie T*** and I am one of the Managers at Petes CaféI am responding to a letter received in my office regarding a complaint submitted on 8/8/ID# *** I will begin by sincerely apologizing for the inconvenience and disappointment that a
customer experienced on the evening of August 8, I was the manager on duty that night and I was the individual who took the order over the phoneA few issues resulted from this take-out order. In the complaint report, the customer states that we had omitted the salsa that comes with the order of chips and salsaShe returned for the salsa, but also to voice her opinion on a couple of other mattersWhen she returned we gave her the salsa that she was charged for, but she stated that this 4oz portion of salsa was not what she expectedShe then stated that she wanted a larger portion, which is a pint (16oz) which sells for $However, she didn't want or expect to pay any more moneyI made it clear that I could not possibly justify that requestAnother matter concerned the meal of "Huevos Rancheros"This meal consists of a corn tortilla, two eggs, red or green chile, and one side of which she chose riceThe customer stated that the plate had very little rice and was not portioned correctlyAt that point, I told her that I would gladly give her an additional side of riceShe did not settle for this. Finally, she stated that because the Huevos Rancheros meal had turned out to be a small meal for the person it was ordered for, it was necessary to give up her Stuffed Sopaipilla plate to that individualOnce again, she made an unreasonable request of asking to provide an additional Stuffed Sopaipilla plate free of charge again, I explained that I could not justify this request. I feel that I attempted to the best of my ability to fulfill the meal order as it had been placed and chargedAndagain I apologize for the inconvenience and disappointment to the customerHowever, I feel that any adjustments that could be made regarding the carry-out order have been made. *** ***[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, the consumer must give a reason why they are rejecting the responseIf the consumer does not provide a reason the complaint will be closed Answered] The salsa I ordered from the establishment is the same one I always orderThere was no change in the order that my family REGULARLY makes, essentially this individual states I had ordered wrongI called in before hand to let them know I was missing my order and drove all the way across town to have it replacedThe individual who took my order should have clarified if she was unsureI never order (a side) I asked for (an order of) which is the same order I always placeThere were other concerns with food we had purchased the order was incorrectAgain these are orders I regularly makeI find it incomprehensible that an establishment especially one that my family and I would normally frequent would treat us us in such a waythe food was incorrect I simply wanted it replaced I have never in over years had an order that was incorrectThe one time something was wrong I was confident that the issue would be quickly rectified without concernI was sorely disappointed when confronted with the manager Maria who had essentially placed all blame on myself as if I didn't understand the portions of the dishes or meals I was orderingThis is the absolute worst customer service experience I have had in my lifeI can tell you that everyone I know will hear about the way we were treated we have not since been back not do I think we ever will k ow what to expect from Pete's cafe from now onThis is truly upsettingI sincerely hope that the original owner who my family knows personally Teresa and Alfred give their nice some proper training on how to treat their customer's because like.us they will stop spending their money in this restaurant if this is the way we can expect to be treated
