Came out and gave me verbal estimate for sidewalk and said he would "do the job right". Promised to drop off written estimate which he never did. Did not return multiple phone calls.

Review: Contractor to replace retaining wall & walkway from porch to driveway. Entered into an Oral contract , [redacted] did not provide me with written contract which is a violation of N.J.A.C.13:45A-16 nor a receipt for the money paid when I asked him numerous times. Promised what a great job they would do & trusted him since they have been in the business long time. Major Complaint : Use of substandard materials ( cement not uniform in color, texture & of poor quality ) , Inadequate grading ( walkway is pitched towards the foundation of my house ) Workmanship of substandard quality (Gash in my driveway from cutting pavers, Expansion/Control joint not properly cut across walkway, Concrete finish/texture of walkway & steps totally different brush & swirls of diff color cement on steps, patchy & sloppy, Lower porch area seam abutting new cement is sloppy, jagged, uneven & lower on the right side. New steps surface along the corners of steps abutting retaining wall had openings that dirt could run off thru to the steps so contractor patched with cement after job completed & looks so sloppy. Pavers caps on Flower bed they never glued all of them down. Top step leading down to driveway is uneven & slopes in towards house creating hazardous falling conditions ( dirt, ice, snow ) Also, during demolition of walkway, contractor nicked electrical wire to lamp post that runs along walkway & after heavy rains shorted out electrical wire & electrician had to be called to cut main wire & now that too has to be fixed. Talked with contractor about horrible job his brother In law did on walkway and my concerns & demanded they either rip it out & do correctly or give me the money part back I paid for the walkway part and I would have it done over by someone else. He finally came out after weeks of bugging him & said he'd give me some money back but not the whole amount. He then said I talked with [redacted] & he agrees their is nothing wrong with it. I have pictures that tell the story.Desired Settlement: I want the $1800 back he told me was for the walkway & I also want him to pay the electrcians bill to fix my underground wire since they caused the short. $670 for labor & materials to fix & $250 for troubleshooting problem. A simple solution at the time would have been for them to rip it out & do it correctly but obviously [redacted] can careless about customer satisfaction. Peter Giancola & Sons also has 6 other Superior Court Judgments against them which says a lot about their business. Wish I knew that before contacting them. Also no written contract shouldn't a business be fined for this ?????
