To whom it may concern,I am responding to a complaint by *** *** which I find completely without meritAs he stated, he found a car on our web site that he was interested inAfter inquiring about it, he was asked whether he would be paying cash orneed assistance with financingHe said he
would need financingHe was advised that he would need to complete a credit application so his credit could be reviewed and financing could be arranged that would be best suited for hisfinancial circumstancesThis is a part of the auto buying process*** was not pressured in any way and filled out the credit app online himselfThis online credit app is provided by a major auto lending institution and requires the submitter to authorize pulling their credit. *** was very interested in the Mazda and visited our office to take it for a test driveWhen he drove it, he commented how well it droveHe then complained about some minor hail dents and a tiny spot of rustWe were not aware of the hail damage and offered to have it repaired before delivering the carPaintless dent removal fixes such things quite easilyAt this time he suggested that the vehicle in his mind was"totaled"and that we should drop the price substantially as a starting point for negotiationsWe made the best offer we could and advised him that we would talk with the bank to see if we could get them to help in any wayThe next day our bank rep offered a funding discount which allowed us to offer *** an added discountHe and his girlfriend then rudely said they felt the car was over priced and were not interestedWe agreed that the Mazda was not a good fit for them and offered another vehicle that we felt might be better suited for them based on the needs they expressed and their financial position***'s last statement is a bit telling "I did not authorize this behavior nor was I informed of the excessive damage to the first vehicle''Every step we took was an effort to HELP find an appropriate vehicle for him and to HELP find affordable financing for himIf he did not like the Mazda, he could have simply said this car doesn't work for meWe do not ask for authorization to help people because we feel that helping people is simply part of our jobApparently he had unrealistic expectations for a year old vehicle with 90k miles on itI have over years experience in the automotive businessI have driven the Mazda myself and it drives perfectlyHis assertion that the Mazda has "excessive damage" is simply ridiculous. At Pete Kitt's Service, we take all complaints seriously and consider them an opportunity for improvementWe can find no flaw in any aspect of our dealings with ***I will repeat that our only goal was to help him find a car that was appropriate to his needs, within his budget, and to help him find the most cost effective financing possibleI regret that we were not able to help him, but can not see any error on our partIn addition, we take ***'s accusation of "advertising" very seriously and find them without meritPlease see the attached web listing for the MazdaI would ask *** to show even one instance of what he claims is "advertising". We wish *** well in his search for a "perfect" $6,000, year old car.Pete Kitt Jr
