Review: We went to Peter [redacted] Demizio dental office which runs by family. Had dental service on July 10th, patient name is [redacted] and went with his son-in-law name [redacted] to translate him. After exam with panorex x-ray they charged us $75, and she told me that she spoke with insurance and one of insurance agent told her that it is $75 for the x-ray. And after came back home I was curious and checked with insurance agent and he told that it is $25 for the panorex, so I called back office and told that I verified with insurance company that fee should be $25, but she gave me attitude and angry about that I didn't trust her and called back insurance company to verity. She told me she'll refund the money back and don't come back to their office again. I went back to dental office and asked for the refund also told her I have right to check with insurance company and you shouldn't be mad about that. Reason saying that she got mad and saying she would not refund money unless they see the paperwork verification, so I told them I'll call the insurance company over the phone and verify the price, then she starts to yell at me to get out of my office and call at outside and also yelled at me "your trash!!" and forced me out of their office with dentist which is her son and husband. Later I also found out that there was another person name [redacted] had same issue with me through [redacted] review. Couple days later I was waiting for the claim paperwork, but looked like they haven't claim the paperwork to my insurance company. So I called insurance company to check status on the claim. I told the one of the agent what happened with dental office issue and he told me that he will call them and verify the price with them over the phone while he put me on hold. After while he told me that he tried to discuss with the issue, but they denied to discuss with him further and hang up the phone. so he suggested me to file the Grievance form through insurance company to solve this issue. I also want to file claim to Revdex.com, so that this issue won't happen again next time to future patients.Desired Settlement: I want the money refunded too and apology that she gave me wrong information at first time and also that she called me a "trash" and forced me out of their office.

Review: Dr.Peter DeMizio charged me $120.00 for a tooth extraction which was 100% covered by my [redacted] Dental Plan. I contacted my insurance company and they have repeatedly tried to contact the office. They finally talked to "[redacted]" who informed them that she had contacted me and everything was resolved. This was a complete lie as I had not heard from her at all. Not only do I want my $120 back but I also think this office needs to be investigated and audited.Desired Settlement: $120.00 plus an additional $100.00 for the amount of time I have put into resolving this issue. It has been going on since January 10, 2014 and I have spent lots of time on phone calls and emails.

[redacted], I am writing in response to your inquiry about [redacted]. Unfortunately, **. [redacted] does not understand her dental insurance benefits. The cost of her visit to our office was $120. The extraction of her tooth was 100% covered but the rest of her visit was not. She had some not covered charges. We have tried to have [redacted] explain this to her but obviously that has not been successful.

I have attached the explanation of benefits from her one and only visit to our office, it clearly states that her responsibility was $120. She was given excellent care and charged exactly in accordance with her insurance. Our office does not understand nor appreciate that she has gone to great lengths to complain and slander us online. If you require any additional information, please do not hesitate to contact me.
