Some it named Alan called here today stating my mother owes 131 to pma, well guess what, wait in line. He informed he was going to write it off as a bad debt, I informed she cannot be made to pay out of social security income so it will be paid when she is able. This guy isn't qualified to remove dog crap from a shoe, never mind contact people regarding a medical bill that has not been paid, obviously because she is unable to pay right now. It will be paid when we can, a 400 dollar heating bill and keeping a roof over pour heads is more important at this point.

Complaint4 year collection issue still unresolved. Representative [redacted] hung up on me twice today.I have so many issues with this company, I don't know where to begin. This issue dates back to 2010. I have made numerous phone calls to the agency and healthcare facility addressing this matter. My [redacted] has left messages and given permission for me to speak on his behalf since I pay his medical bills. The original debtor indicates there is a zero balance and the debt was paid, but I still appears on his credit.Every time we call, we get voice mail promising a call back, which never comes. We received ONE letter in four years. My [redacted] is trying to buy a car and has bad credit because of this one account. He has never had any debt or loans and should have good credit. Once again today I called Peter Roberts. Initially, I spoke to a woman who could not located the account by SSN. I gave her the name and without explanation, the phone began to ring, and ring and ring. After 3 minutes, no voice mail or answer. After 4 minutes a disgruntled man named "[redacted]" picked up the phone. I began to explain but he cut me off telling me he could not discuss the account with me. I tried to tell him my [redacted] had given permission via voice mail more than once when no one EVER answered but he hung up on me. I called to try to explain and he said "this is the beginning and the end of the story" and hung up again. Needless to say, I am frustrated and looking for resolution. I have contacted the dr again only to be told the account is paid in full. If they are the collection agency, shouldn't they be the ones to take this off his credit? I have advised my dr of this entire situation so they are aware of who they are dealing with.Desired SettlementI would like this issue resolved by taking this paid in full account taken off his credit and contacting the credit bureau to update my [redacted] credit.Business Response We have never heard from [redacted] giving us permission to speak to his [redacted] about his bill. Leaving a message on someones voice mail is not sufficient. We needed to ask the responsible party questions to verify that he or she is the correct party before we will speak to a third party. Our client reported this bill paid to us on 3/20/13. We updated the credit bureaus on 4/7/13 as paid. On 7/11/14 our client contacted us to have the item expunged which we did to each of the three major credit bureaus.I have requested that this item be expunged again and will be send the consumer confirmation that we instructed that the item be deleted from each of the credit bureaus.Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)We are fully aware that authorization is required to speak to a third party. Leaving a message was the only option since previous calls were never returned and on more than one occasion the phone was just never answered. The credit bureau was obviously NOT updated since the item is still showing as unpaid. The credit score continues to go down and this is the ONLY negative item on the report. It will take a considerable amount of time to correct this misinformation. This business took the account along with the fee to handle the account, but did not complete the most important part and now they fail to tell the truth. Unfortunately, this item has been ruined.I doubt I will ever receive the confirmation they have promised. Final Business Response As we stated on 9/4/14 we have instructed to have this item expunged electronically to all 3 Credit Bureaus on 9/3/14. If all of the credit bureaus did not update their files yet, we suggest that the consumer contact the ones that still shows the item and dispute it. Sometimes their updating takes longer than one might expect.

Old bills for which have been settled but are now on my credit report due to Peter Roberts negligenceI received a bill from Peter Roberts on 7/1/14 (Acct #X-XXXXXX-Y). I called and was rudely told by a man named [redacted] that I needed to pay the debt with no exceptions then got hung up on. I called back for detail on 9/4 and I did end up receiving it. However, the bills (from [redacted] Hospital) were dated (1)6/14/2012 $573.10 and (2)4/14/2013 $51.12. I called the billing department at [redacted] Hospital and I was told that these debts were taken care of by me already. I never let debts go this long and was shocked to find out that Peter Roberts is reporting something on my credit report that has been taken care of a long time ago.Desired SettlementZero balance due and amount taken off all credit agency reporting.Business Response We checked with [redacted] Hospital on the two accounts that the consumer states that are paid and their response was that both accounts are still outstanding as of today 11/25/2014. As far as Peter Roberts & Associates reporting these two items to the consumer's credit report that is entirely false. We do not report to the credit bureaus for this client. If the consumer has proof that we did we would like to see it in writing that we reported these two items to the bureaus. These two accounts has been recalled by the hospital so the consumer needs to contact them to pay the balances. Therefore this account has been closed by Peter Roberts & Associates.

Paper billAccount #XXXXXXX We have repeatedly asked them to send us a paper bill stating how much we owe and balance remaining. Today I called 10/8/14 to find out the status of our account. I asked to speak to a manager a man got on the phone as I have repeatedly asked I would like a paper bill to send in my payment. I told the gentleman that I did not want my credit score to suffer. He called me a [redacted] told me I did not know what I was talking about. I told him the only thing I want is a paper bill so I can pay the money I owe. He refused and hung up on me. He was very rude and unprofessional. The only option they gave was to take it directly out of my bank account. How do I know they will not take more than they should. We do not do banking on line or over the phone. I have never refused to pay them I am just looking to be able to track the amount of money I owe them. How do I know there even is a Peter Roberts and Associates? How do I know the exact amount that is in collection and If it hasn't already been fufilled? I would like a resolution to this matter. Thank you.Desired SettlementI would like a monthly statement with how much money I owe at the end of each month.Business Response WE NORMALLY DO NOT SEND MONTHLY BILLS TO ANY CONSUMER THAT HAS BEEN REFERRED TO US FOR COLLECTIONS. WE EXPLAIN TO THE CONSUMER THAT WE ARE NOT A BILLING SERVICE AND IT IS UP TO THE CONSUMER TO MAKE PAYMENTS THAT HAVE BEEN AGREED UPON AND FOR THEM TO KEEP TRACK WHEN THEIR PAYMENT IS DUE. IF THEY HAVE ANT QUESTIONS ABOUT THEIR BILL OR WANT AN UPDATE BALANCE THEY CAN CALL US ON OUR TOLL FREE LINE. THE CONSUMER STATED THAT SHE DIDN'T WANT HER CREDIT SCORE TO SUFFER. THIS CLIENT THAT SHE OWES DOES NOT REPORT TO THE CREDIT BUREAUS AND WE EXPLAINED THAT TO HER.WE WILL SEND HER MONTHLY STATEMENTS AS LONG AS SHE KEEPS UP WITH THE PAYMENT PLAN AND DOESN'T DEFAULT ON IT

Bad practices. No communication or interpersonal skills. Harmful negligence.I was made aware I had an open collections with this company when I signed onto creditkarma.com in March. I then contacted the creditor and paid in full. I was told that it would be cleared from my credit report w/in a month. It has not. I called creditor today again to confirm that I do not owe any money and asked for the collections agencies contact info. I contacted collection agency to make aware of misscommunication between themselves and their client whom I no longer owed. After multiple transfers to dead lines I called and asked for a supervisor. I spoke to [redacted] who denied that I had made any payment. I asked told him I will call their client, my creditor, right now so that he may have verbal confirmation as well to which he said, "Nope". [redacted] was very rude and abbrasive and when I told him that this is a negative mark on my credit report that should of been resovled already he said, "its not my fault you chose not to deal with my agency." He continued to talk right over and through me until he hung up.Desired SettlementCommunicate with your clients and accounts in a proper manner. Remove incorrect data on your file that is negatively effecting my credit. Because this will hold me back from a very importent financial decision this is a major setback for my family.Business Response Our client placed this account with us on 9/12/13. We sent the consumer 2 letters (the last one 11/13/13. We also tried calling him to no avail. On 4/4/14 he called our office and stated that he had paid his bill directly to our client. We told him we will check with our client to confirm that they indeed had received his payment. Our client's instruction is to communicate with them via fax and no calls to confirm payment or other issues. Mr. [redacted] didn't like our answer. We did receive the fax back our client today and they have confirm that they did receive this payment. Our client has instructed us to expunge this item from Mr.[redacted]'s credit file. Which we have done so today. I will be sending [redacted] a letter and a copy of the receipt from eoscar(the credit bureau clearing house) showing this this has been expunged.Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)Pra collections polices wrongfully negatively affected my credit or an extra month because of bad communication when I first contacted them. Policies are made to streamline the business process, not hinder. Pra collections polices hindered the fact I already paid and cleared the debt to the eoscar, and in return negatively affected my credit rating for and unfair and unjust extra 2 months by the time this will be finalized. Final Business Response We send reports to the credit bureaus each month covering all of the transactions from the previous month. The consumer paid his bill on 3/6/14and we expunged this item in April 2014. Therefore this item will not exist on his credit report once the bureaus update the information we sent to them.

Failure to substantiate credit reporting entries.Upon a recent pulling of my credit report I have found two entries from Peter Roberts and Associates. The account numbers listed are [redacted], and [redacted]. After the initial discovery of said accounts I sent a certified letter requesting validation per my rights under FDCPA and MCDCA. This collection agency has failed to respond to the requests and are now in violation of federal and state laws. The entries must be removed without haste or a lawsuit will be filed against Peter Roberts and Associates for $1,000 per violation, plus compensatory damages and legal fees.Desired SettlementRemoval of the entries from the credit reporting agencies of but not limited to [redacted], [redacted], and [redacted]. No further reporting or selling of said accounts.Business Response After receiving the consumers request to have the two items validated, we sent the request to our client to have them send us the information to have these items validated. We have found out that they are unable to have the items validated so we have in return instructed these two items to be deleted @ the credit bureaus. We will be sending the consumer confirmation that we have done so.

False information twice!!!!!!!!My name is [redacted]. I've recently trying to pay off a bill. I called peter roberts & associates to deal with ny bill. I had first talked to a gentleman . He opened my file and we talked about information to get started with the process of finding out how much I owe. He found a record from "2007". He told me how much it was, one being [redacted] & [redacted] I had question for him and he referred me to [redacted]. She has my account. Now if I am correct this call was recorded!!!! So I leave a message with [redacted].(2) she was on vacation. When she got back, she contacted me. We went over the same information that was giving to me by the gentleman that transferred me over to her. I told her not to worry about sending the paperwork. I told her I would call her Friday 29th and pay the 140 that was due. Now excited to get this over with and done with. I called today to find out that I would have to pay a $448.00 more towards a bill that magically appeared in the computers. That's a little STRANGE, no?. Now two ppl telling me the same amount and same date. But now I have a bill that's $448.00 on that date??? But I thought the 140 was from 2007? I had the check ready to go but now is the 140 even legit??? DON'T FORGET ITS ALL ON RECORDING!!!!Desired SettlementI don't think I should have to pay $448.00 due to lack of knowledge. I was told I owed a total of $140 from a 2007 bill. From 2people. Now I owe $448.00 due from 2007. U guys raised my blood pressure high and don't appreciate getting screwed.Business Response We reviewed the accounts in question. We went back to our client to learn that the account for the $448 that goes back to 2007 was closed by the old billing service that they had and we were never notified that this bill should have been deleted from our system. We have now done so. The only amount that is owed is for the 2013 dates of services which is $140.

After resolving a billing issue with this company they reported to my credit report as an account in collection.Unfortunately I had back surgery that was complicated by many issues with my insurance company. The doctor and this collection agency where none the less helpful through the situation and in the end did not comply with the deal that was struck with them. After much battling with our insurance company we were resigned to pay this doctors bill out of pocket. We help up our end of the bargain and kept in constant contact with this collection company. Upon the insurance companies final decision we agreed to a pay off amount and were promised it would close the account. We recently became aware that [redacted] and Associates than went ahead and reported our account as an open collection account for 500. That was not only a surprise but against the deal that was struck with them. If their practices are to "get over" on people than I believe I have the right to sue them. If we could receive some assistance on how to proceed and correct this issue it would be greatly appreciated. We already opened a dispute with the credit agencies and are awaiting a call back from Roberts and Associates. What are my legal rights in this situation?Desired SettlementI would like this account to be removed from my 3 credit reports immediately and for them to just do what was agreed upon.Business Response WE RECEIVED THIS ACCOUNT FROM OUR CLIENT ON 3/12/12 WITH A BALANCE OF $2952.OUR CLIENT'S INSTRUCTIONS IS TO REPORT THEIR ACCOUNTS TO THE CREDIT BUREAUS 90 DAYS AFTER WE RECEIVE THEIR ACCOUNTS IF THERE IS STILL A BALANCE ON THE ACCOUNT, WHICH WE DID. OUR CLIENT REPORTED A PAYMENT TO US ON 7/6/12 OF $2452 AND WE UPDATED THE INFORMATION TO THE CREDIT BUREAUS TO REFLECT THE PAYMENT. THE REMAINING $500 WAS NOT PAID UNTIL AUGUST OF 2013 DIRECTLY TO OUR CLIENT. OUR CLIENT DID NOT REPORT THIS $500 PAYMENT TO US UNTIL 3/26/14. ONCE WE FOUND OUT OF THIS PAYMENT WE SENT THE 3 CREDIT BUREAUS A REQUEST TO EXPUNGE THIS ITEM FROM THE CREDIT REPORTS PER OUR CLIENTS INSTRUCTIONS SINCE THEY HAD NOT NOTIFIED US OF THE SECOND PAYMENT IN A TIMELY MANNER.THIS ACCOUNT HAS BEEN PAID IN FULL AND THE 3 CREDIT BUREAUS HAVE BEEN INSTRUCTED TO EXPUNGE THIS ITEM. WE WILL BE SENDING THE CONSUMER A RECEIPT SHOWING THAT THE ACCOUNT HAVE BEEN DELETED.
