Peter Vario Construction

Review: I entered into an agreement with [redacted], [redacted] of 'Homeport Construction', and paid $6700 cash as half the down payment for cabinets he was going to make for me. After receiving our payment he became unresponsive and now does not return calls or emails. When we emailed last week to say that we were coming to look at the progress of the ecabinets he emailed right back & said he would be out of town and would meet is this weekend. We told him we were coming this weekend and he now says that his young child was in a tragic accident and he doens't know if she'll live or die. We called the hospital he said he was at and they said they do not have anyone there with the same last name. It is clear that he has no intention of providing the cabinets to us and undoubtably never even started the process as we had asked for pictures to see what it looks like and he did not respond.

His business "Homeport Construction" is not listed in the NY Dept of State list of businesses. He has a workshop inside of someones empty house, located at [redacted].Desired Settlement: First and fofremost we want our money returned. I would also like to persue criminal action for scamming people out of their money. I will follow up with the police and an attorney regarding that. I would also like to make other consumers aware so they do not get taken advantage of as well.
