Peterson Regional Medical Center

The billing procedure for this medical facility is totally unethical On 4/15/I was involved in a motorcycle accident which left me unconscious EMS transported me to Peterson Regional ER, later to be airlifted to San Antonio trama center, and subsequently later seen by ER staff at Breckenridge Medical in Austin I mention the other medical facilities to emphasis the unethical practices for billing Peterson Regional practices According to Ms Star B [redacted] , Teresa her supervisor, and Ron W***, their supervisor, when injuries treated at their facility are the result of an auto accident, their policy will not allow them to file a claim against the patient's health insurance, even when instructed to do so by the patient As of 7/19/I have never received a bill from Peterson, yet on 4/22/a representative from Peterson Regional filed a "hospital lien" against me for the outstanding bill a full seven(7) days after treatment allegedly legal,but highly unethical in my opinion The fact that Ms B [redacted] has failed to provide a bill and has intentionally failed to file a claim with my health insurance is for one reason which was confirmed by Teresa and that reason is for greed By filing against a liability automobile/motorcycle policy Peterson expects to recover more money without anyone reviewing their bill for accuracy whereas if filed with a health insurance provider Peterson is limited in their monetary recovery based on agreements they enter into with the health insurance providers When I demanded to speak with the depart head Mr Ron W***, I was informed he was unavailable and would call me No call to date All other providers, and I have seen many, that have provided treatment of my injuries as a result on this accident have filed their claims with my health insurance and were paid in a timely fashion Peterson Regional Medical is the only outstanding bill and the only treating facility that has filed a hospital lien, and has to date never provided me with a detailed, or simply, a bill for their service I will also add the Peterson Regional ER Doctor has accepted and been paid in full from my health insurance provider
