Review: The first day that Pete brought over 4 guys to do my move, Pete charged me

for 30 paper sheets @ $3.00/sheet.

I KNOW that the 4 hired guys DID NOT USE 30 paper sheets

the ENTIRE 3 days that they worked for me regarding my Negative moving

experience with them. They were good and hard workers but by the 3rd day,

[redacted] displayed a very BAD attitude and REFUSED to work while I emptied

my fridge and freezer. Yes, they were nice guys and I do have a lot

of stuff but on Wed. May 18, 2016, [redacted] and [redacted] just sat in [redacted]'s truck

instead of doing ANY work and finishing up the kitchen stuff that needed

to be boxed.

They did an amazingly UNPROFESSIONAL job of wrapping and protecting ALL

my furniture from potential damage, and as a result of their incredibly

sloppy work, my furniture has new and permanent scratches on them.

Those scratches would NOT be there if they had done the necessary job of

wrapping the legs to my furniture. There are noticeable scratches on a

very expensive formal dining room table and 6 chairs because the 4 workers

did NOT cover the bottom part of the chair legs with paper wrap OR shrink

wrap which were exposed, and as a result, DID receive noticeable scratches.

Only the top of my Formal China Hutch was shrink wrapped. The bottom

piece has a new corner scratch due to complete negligence.

There is a VERY NEW LARGE scratch on my Queen bed armoire .

They also put a VERY LARGE CRACK on my casual white dining room table.

It is around the whole diameter of the chair leg It was NOT there before.

Besides Pete's BLATANT dishonesty, he backed up [redacted]'s bad attitude and

his REFUSAL to work on Wed. May 18, 2016 when I was working in my kitchen

to empty my fridge and upright freezer so they could be loaded on the [redacted] moving truck. Although [redacted] DID use the paper wrap on my

glass kitchen items, I'm expecting to discover more broken glass items.

Their work was incredibly SLOPPY and UNPROFESSIONAL for Elite Labor Moving.

An unhappy customer.Desired Settlement: I want a Debit Card Reimbursement of $100.00 that I was dishonestly charged

for 30 paper sheets which was NEVER used to protect it from the damages of

new and noticeable scratches on my furn. The 4 workers that I hired

from [redacted] all said that Elite Moving did very unprofessional

work and that I should file a complaint as a result of the received damage

Upon request,I can give you personal references from [redacted]

regarding my newly received furn. scratches and broken items.

Response:

I am rejecting this response because:I'm going to contact Pete' Moving Service since they said they wouldre-imburse me for half of the blankets used. What blankets? I wascharged for 30 paper sheets and I counted 13 were used, NOT 30that Pete told me on the phone that he used on May 16, 2016.I used his moving company from May 16-May 18, 2016.Sincerely,[redacted]El Cajon, CA [email protected](619) 536-5431

Review: we had petes moving service move us from livermore, ca to arizona not only did they break our stuff during packing but when we unpacked we foiund a lot more broken things, we contacted pete who wanted pictures which his employee sent him, saying the company has insurance, pete never responded to our calls he did over 10k in damage plus charged 5k for the move, as of today he still will not return our callsDesired Settlement: would like anything that can be replaced , replaced. somthings are non replaceable so we would like monetary compensation

Response:

To whom it may concern, There are a lot of mis use of facts that happen in this move. Our company only moved half of their belongings that we loaded into a storage and the customers family took the other half themselves and they packed it all on their own. When we arrived at their storage location we were asked to tape and repack some of the boxes that they had already packed improperly themselves or they were packed years ago and were no longer in good shape. I was in contact with customer until I received threats from their family members over the phone so therefore no longer in communication with them.

Consumer

Response:

I am rejecting this response because: first nothing we packed where broken upon arrival , no threats except a law suit due to a 7000.000 bed being damaged upon numerous furniture pieces and pete himself refused to answer calls or texts let alone return them he has pictures of some of the broken items some we found while unpacking, at first he told us he had insurance to cover the damages then he said its not his fault and he was going to send us a bill when the last two payments we did not even get a receipt and the last shipment his helpers did not show up so my sons had to help his employee unload. he damaged numerous pieces of furniture and there company was responsible for packing and moving the whole house the boxes he had to re pack and re tape were due to leaking substances that his employees packed incorrectly we have pictures of everything damaged and receipts for most

Consumer

Response:

These are the receipt of the mattress vacuum cleaner and trash can. There are other thing that were gifts so we do not have the receipts for those like the bong, lenox champagne glasses, lawn mower, lamp shade, tv stand. I have pics of those Pete was sent pic of some of the things that were destroy in the beginning like the bong, lawn mover, bed, lamp shade, trash can, vacuum cleaner, tv stand.

Review: They loaded my furniture on its sides and my dinning room table on the top side and scratched them both up very bad. I asked the movers if it would scratch and they informed me and 3 other people it would not. So I took their word and trusted them. They took longer than the 2 hours to do the job so we had to unload the furniture. When I found out it was scratched I called the owner and he said he would take care of it on Tuesday got no reponse so I called them today. He says its my fault and keeps hanging up on me and now he wont answer my calls. He is extremely unprofessional and even sent me a rude text because I left a yelp review. He lied and said his movers showed up at the agreed upon 2pm time they did not I have a call to him to prove they did not. I just think his whole business is a scamDesired Settlement: I would like him to just refund my money or pay for the repairs of my furniture.

Review: I initially contacted [redacted] moving to move antique furniture from Sacramento to NYC. When my furniture arrived it was being handled by a man who works with [redacted]'s moving company- and that was odd since I had no idea [redacted]'s would be involved. Two items of furniture were damaged and I immediately contacted [redacted] at [redacted] moving. He failed to respond. After a lot of prodding on my part, I received an email from [redacted] to discuss the damages, not [redacted]. (Since [redacted] moving has no address information online, I can't file a complaint against them as well) And I was then notified that he would be handling the damages. I used to be an adjuster for large loss damages and understand the repair process well, and advised [redacted] what is customary and fair in this situation is to have 3 qualified estimates for the repairs and then I would handle the repair process. It took almost 3 weeks to get ONE estimate completed, which I never received. The company [redacted] had come out has the worst ratings on Yelp and does not discuss their ability to repair antique furniture. After more prodding regarding more estimates, I received an email from [redacted] stating that he can't find anyone else to give quotes and that I can pay the $50 estimate fees if I want more estimates from other companies. I paid to have my furniture handled with care and it wasn't. When I asked them to be responsible business owners, they weren't.Desired Settlement: The repairs will range from $850 to $1500. As I stated previously, I would accept $1000 to never have to deal with [redacted] or [redacted] again.

Consumer

Response:

I am rejecting this response because:I understand that you are saying .60/pound is customary. The quick math would be $150 for my damaged furniture. And no, I am not accepting that. If you are trying to use what you deem as customary for an insurance claim then I would much rather just go through your insurance company. You have my contact information so please open a claim and let them deal with the damages. Thanks,[redacted]

Business

Response:

Hello,Respectfully I understand that everyone has an opinion to how things should be done. In the moving business there's 2 kind of insurance: standard- .60 cents on a pound and full value. We carry standard insurance. I've extended my grace and tried to send a license professional to take of it just to make sure it gets taken care and restored to whole as much as possible, but you have rejected that offer. We are still willing to settle up based on the coverage of our insurance which is .60 cents on a point per damaged items. Apogize for any misunderstandings. licensed professional to take care any damages caused, but thatwas rejected. We are still willing to cover the damages thru our standard insurance, but we are not going to send anybody else to try to repair your furnitd

Consumer

Response:

[redacted]This is probably the worst resolution to the matter that I could envision. It's only because you have been so helpful that I will acquiesce and agree to the proposed resolution. Thanks again,[redacted]

Business

Response:

We have standard insurance for moving companies. Which covers .60 cents on a pound and I have tried to get this resolved and mail you the check. Which means you have rejected our offer. Best of luck!

Review: Hired petes moving help/services to move furniture.Items where not properly handled or protected resulting in damage.Contacted Pete, [redacted] via phone and texts to notify him of the issues.Pete texted me, which I have and will submit upon request, that he would hire a furniture restoration company to fix the damaged furniture. The damage consisted of chipped glass on dinning room table, glass bar, Italian marble and damaged picture frames.I have made several attempts via cell and texts with no response.I want to be made whole and have his promises kept!Desired Settlement: I would like the chipped glass items to be replaced, the Italian marble to be fixed as well as the scratched picture frames.

Review: Pete's Moving Services were hired by my husband for 2 hours of service ( $285.00 with an additional rate of 65.00 for each additional hour; Cash only; services to start at 8:30am on 5/16/15 to move appliances ie: Fridge, washer dryer , dressers, hutch, dining room table and chair and beds which were already taken apart. Local move 3 blocks away. 2 guys arrived late just before 9am, introduced them selves and did a walk though to evaluate furniture. They had a small U-haul truck, for the first hour, they did a lot of talking and complaining, not much work done, time is being wasted. They talked about there personal lives and were making negative comments. My son and I began to help to move things along in hopes they would get the hint. I mention the 2 hour time frame, the workers said oh we will have to make 2 trips. I wasn't too happy about that, its 10am now and the only items loaded were the fridge and hutch. We arrived to our new home about noon with the first load, where they caused damage to my front entrance way and the wall in the hall way, I brought it to there attention and the comment was; oh that's nothing. My dresser was damaged and the worst was the laundry room floor was torn and covered up with card board. I was getting upset and decided to call there boss, I called Pete at 12:20 pm and as I tried to explain my concerns, he did nothing but defend his workers, I had to raise my voice to get him to stop talking and let me talk, Basically the conversation went no where, I sent him pictures via text. The guys were standing around inside the truck talking to each other and on there phones, then making comments like "Oh we shouldn't be sweating while we work." I said really? We had provided them with water through out the day, My son and I were doing more than them. About 1:30pm they finally finished, called there boss Pete for a total and was told $460.00. Now I am really upset. I was not provided with a receipt or any paper work. This was such a horrible experience.Desired Settlement: I want a full refund or all damages repaired. I do have a hand written receipt I had the one worker sign. I have pictures of all the damage as well as an email sent to Pete and his response.

Business

Response:

Company states: When we were made aware of the customer issues we contacted them and they said that it was not an issue anymore. The damage to the dresser and walkway was minimal and if they would like us to come patch it up we are willing to send someone out to do that. I can be contacted directly at ###-###-####.

Consumer

Response:

I am rejecting this response because: It is unacceptable for them not to be accountable: Here is email communication prior to me reaching out to Revdex.com. His response doesn't acknowledge my floor that is torn and was covered up by cardboard. His email reply to mine which at no time did they reach out to me: [redacted]smoving May 17to me I'm very sorry for any damages the crew might have caused. They tried their best to get the move done as safely as possible. As for our insurance, we have a $250.00 deductible than we pay out .60 cents per pound of an item (which is standard for most moving companies) I really apoligize about the incovenience we may have caused for you, but we all collectively did our best to get the job done by showing up on time and working to the best of our abilities.Sent from my Verizon Wireless 4G LTE smartphone-------- Original message --------From: DJ Cain <[redacted]> Date: 05/17/2015 8:29 AM (GMT-08:00) To: [redacted] Subject: Fwd: [redacted]As we spoke yesterday, I am highly disappointed in the moving services. The damage goes further, they ripped the linoleum in the laundry room and then covered it up with a piece of cardboard. NOT COOL! Pictures below are, the wall damage, the front door frame damage, Dresser damage and floor damage. I would like to discuss further otherwise I will be taking further action. Call me to discuss.
