In October 2017, my company was called out to [redacted] home to repair a leak in the shower.  We found that the [redacted] shower cartridge was seized and needed to be replaced.  Our technician Ben, who is a licensed plumber, proceeded to remove the cartridge and doing so he needed to bore out...

the part which is common practice for any plumber in order to make the repair unless the owner wants to replace the entire valve.   Once the old cartridge was removed, he installed a new stem that was provided by the owner.  The next day [redacted] contacted me to say that there was a leak.  I told him we could come right out but he declined and wanted to wait to see if the leak persisted.  A whole 3 months go by and [redacted] calls to say there is still a leak.  I went back to his home on February 6 and did not see any visible leaks or damage.  When I had asked [redacted] if he agreed that there is no leak occurring, he started getting into how my technician had to bang on the valve to remove the cartridge.  I explained how this was necessary and then proceeded to leave because there was nothing I could do.  There was no leak and no damage to the shower valve.  I am an honest man and I try to keep my customers happy.  I showed good faith when I went out to [redacted] homes 3 months after the fact (which labor for service call isonly 30 days), and would have been happy to repair the leak if there was one to repair.
