Review: I purchased pet insurance in 2/**. and have been making regular quarterly payments on it to date. In 4/** the pet was diagnosed with a condition which is covered in the contract, and had surgery. I submitted the $3700 claim, but was told that is was refused. Reason given was "pre-exsisting" condition. Apparently the company engages in a scam to escape having to pay claims by saying that annually the policy is "re-issued" (this occurred on 3/*/15) then they say that any conditions prior to that date are not covered (EVEN THOUGH I HAD ACTIVE INSURANCE AT THAT TIME). But as stated the condition was diagnosed by the veterinarian after the March 1 date. To cover this aspect and weasel out of payment they are saying the vet records show that my wife, who took the dog to the vet may have said that she noted some swelling a few month ago. Thus they make a diagnosis based on that, couple it with their shady "re-issue" scheme, and claim they do not have to pay. I would appreciate if you could look into this, first to see if their practices are even legal and secondly to help me get the reimbursement that I am due.
