Review: On October **, 2015 I ordered for a furniture in Petra Furniture. They took full payment (which includes delivery charge) in advance on the commitment (verbally) that they will deliver to my residence in 2-3 days Maximum. They asked me to sign on the invoice without explaining their store policy. I was on a rush, so I trusted them and signed it. I thought it's a normal invoice without any special condition; later I found that it has a clause of 'no refund. I was not worried about this until the next morning (** October) when the store manager called my wife and informed that they cannot deliver it before 3 weeks because it's not in stock (before selling, they never told us that they have to check their stock). When my wife insisted on timely delivery or refund money, the guy became very rude with her and told that they don't make refund and cut the phone.

So, on Oct 20, 2015 at 7pm, we went to the store with a hope to find a way out. But the guy was again very rude and refused everything and asked us to get out of the store otherwise he would force us. So, we left the store and called police for help. Police arrived about 7:30pm and I explained everything. AT this time someone arrived there and claimed that he was the owner of the store.

In the presence of the COP, the store owner agreed to offer us a replacement furniture if we like. So, we agreed and tried to chose the replacement; but there was nothing close to what we were looking for. So, the owner offered us that next day he would check the warehouse and send me pictures of possible replacement so that we can choose. I asked for his contact number, but he told me "don't worry, I've your number; I'll contact you". So, trusting him (I expected that the owner will do what he promised) we left the store. It has been 3 days now; but no one contacted with us anymore. We tried to call the store several times, but nobody picks the phone. So, I think it was simply a trick by the guy and he just wanted us to leave the store that time and he is not willing to do anything.

The whole event is a bitter example of harassing a customer intentionally. It's a fraudulent way of doing the business.

I've researched on the internet and found that other people suffered from Petra Furniture for similar incidents in the past. I'm posting some links here as proof:

[redacted]Desired Settlement: 1. I consider that although I signed (without my knowledge) the receipt that states "No refund", but this condition does not hold good as they failed to deliver as per the committed time.

2. I look forward to see that businesses are not able to harass the consumers in the same way.
