During my time at Mr. and Mrs. [redacted]s home for the inspection on installation I did not see and was not shown any boards that were sticking up or boards that were bowing. The concerns the customer pointed out were considered to be cosmetic for example the quarter round that was installed...
at the front door vs. a transitional molding, this can also be considered a preference and can be changed out very quickly. I didn't notice any sub floor issues as we removed the existing flooring and layed the new flooring on the existing sub-floor. The caulking around the fireplace needs to be special ordered as it is not a stock color. Our goal is to build a long lasting relationship with our customers and have ongoing support as any questions, comments, or concerns with their new investment can be addressed during the installation warranty time line. The request for us to "write off" the remaining balance is unacceptable as we have fulfilled our contractual agreement. The customer has refused to let us remedy any concerns he has which are minimal. We are willing to accept final payment minus a 10% holding until his concerns are addressed and remedied. The customer currently holds an unpaid balance of $2061.32 less 10% $206.13 would leave a balance of $1855.19 from a $3806.65 project total. We have all documentation signed off by Mrs[redacted] agreeing to the project being finished as well as satisfaction with the project. This project was completed December 6th 2014 and is now January 28th, we would typically have any concerns addressed and remedied within days of completion. Thank you,[redacted]
