[redacted] and his team did a stellar job on my kitchen & laundry room remodel They took out an existing ceramic tile floor, and installed a new tile floor Replaced the countertops with new Quartz countertops, installed a new stone and glass backsplash, LED undercabinet lighting in three locations and painted the entire kitchen In addition they installed two new wall ovens and a gas cooktop with downdraft venting into the island They also installed new molding in the kitchen and laundry room [redacted] predicted the job would take 3-weeks and it did The crew was very professional, neat and respectful of our houseThere were no surprises at all cost wise, as he provided a very detailed estimate of exactly everything that was to be done, and that's what he did The old floor had 1/2" of concrete underneath the tile, so the demo took more time than anticipated, but there was no extra charge for that So, with the new Durock underlayment, the new floor is about 1/2" lower than the old This created a problem with all the door casings (19) [redacted] had a great solution Small wood plinth blocks at the bottom of each casing They look great, and create a high end, classy lookThe upcharge for that was very minor (under $total) I highly recommend New Horizon for any remodeling project!
We initially used New Horizon back in to put a large addition onto a small house , in essence doubling the sizeWe had originally contracted with another company but when their architect nephew failed to produce adequate designs and fled to Texas with our deposit ,we sought out another contractorOur original house presented many challenges as it lies close to a main road , has a creek running through the yard and a cistern just to the backIN addition the original house ceilings were lower than standard and this presented a challenge mostly for the upstairs as the transition from the new - old would require a step downWe wanted a porch on the front but being too close to the road the township was reluctant to grant our request and building the house to the back would run us into the cisternAfter coming up with a plan - the owner was able to convince the township to let us have our porchOur addition is beautiful both inside and outside People comment all the time that they cannot see the transition whereas other additions we have seen have clearly been a box added next to the old house We love it .Therefore when we decided it was time to gut and renovate ( electrical plumbing etc ) an old machine shop into a veterinary facility, we knew exactly who we wanted the contractor to bePeople who saw the building in its original state cannot believe the transformation to a modern veterinary facilityWe removed and resized windows, cut windows into the cinder block exterior , had to cut openings in the cinderblock dividing wall, foundation work , electrical ,plumbing , heating and cooling etc You name it , we had to do it We would use [redacted] for any of our future remodeling projects
