Review: Date:12/09/12 Problem:Car shakes at 60MPH.Diagnosis:Brake rotor needs to be replaced.Paid:$476.59. The manager stated that replacing the brake rotor did not fix the problem and that I needed to replace the lower control arm brushings to stop the shaking. Date:06/29/13. Problem:Car shakes at 60 MPH. Diagnosis: Replace the lower control arm brushings to stop the shaking as stated on 12/09/12. Paid:$1,117.55. When I arrived to pick up my car, all the technicians and the manager were standing around my car and the manager was shaking his head no. He stated that they replaced the lower control arm brushing and that his technician took it for a test drive but that the car was still shaking. One of the technician and I got in my car and took it for a test drive and it was still shaking. The manager told me to bring the car in the next day and that they would replace the axle for free to see if that will fix the problem. The next morning, I dropped off my car as agreed. At around 5:00 p.m., I picked up my car and the manager stated that they replaced the axle but that I would have to return in a couple of days to pick up my receipt. Something did not feel right about the situation. I had a feeling that he did not replace the axle and that why I wasn't given a receipt. He also stated that most of the shaking had stopped except for a little shaking on the passenger side. The following Saturday, I drove my car on I** and it was still shaking when accelerated to 60MPH. I called the office and told the manager that my car was still shaking and the manager suggested that I take it to the dealer to see if they can fix the problem and to keep them posted. He also stated that another individual had the same problem with his [redacted] and that they told him to go to the dealer because they were unable to fix the problem. He told me this after I paid Mr. Tire almost $1,600.00 to fix a problem that they were unable to fix for another customer.Desired Settlement: On, Friday, November 8th, I took the car to the [redacted] in [redacted]. Diagnosis: Left CV joint/axle needs to be replaced. I told them that I had the one of the axles replaced back in June. He stated that neither the left or right axle was replaced in June. I paid the [redacted] in [redacted] $666.86 to repair the left CV joint/axle, balancing & alignment. Expected result: I would like to be reimbursed for $666.80 which is the amount I paid [redacted] for the repair.
