Some time ago I was listening to PhD Doctor Bob Ma*** hosting a radio program promoting Quantum Nutrition Labs in the United States. This company manufactures food supplements promoted to naturally improve ones health. One of the products claimed to enhance the ability of people experiencing difficulty urinating and excessive trips to the bathroom. I was interested in how this might assist me with this problem and so I called their number. As I was Canadian, they referred me to Ivan, the Canadian representative in Vancouver. He assured me that he had been trained by the above Doctor and was fully aware of the product I was looking for. After extensive research and consultation with the Canadian representative, I had determined what would be the best amount of product to order, based on my size, weight and age. He also offered additional advice based on his own apparent positive experience with the products. I wanted to ensure that I ordered enough to give it ample time to begin working. I purchased 10 bottles of the ProstaVen (Prostate Complex) and over 68 days took 8 capsules a day with meals as recommended. I also purchased 1 larger bottle of UltraPollen (Multi-Pollen Extract) and took 3 capsules per day, beginning 2 weeks following the start date of the ProstaVen. This additional product and information was recommended by the Canadian representative in order to enhance the performance of the ProstaVen. Both products were completely used up at the same time, at the end of the 68 days.

From beginning to end there was no change in my symptoms. The products had completely failed in what they were promoted to do. I contacted the Canadian representative and he acted surprised that the supplements had no effect. I reviewed the details regarding the full application of the product, indicating there was no reason why I shouldn't have had at least some results.

After a thorough review, I ask the Canadian representative if he would refund half of the money I had spent, the total cost being $405.99. He did not refund me any amount.

I contacted the supplier, PH PURE HEALTH, the subject of this review. I reviewed the matter with them also. They did not take any responsibly for my loss and would not acknowledge my request for a refund as indicated. In addition, I also sent an email, with the same request for a partial reimbursement, to Jana in the Nutrition Consulting and Sales Department at Quantum Nutrition Labs, who manufacture the supplements. She then forwarded the email to Richard Olivo the Director of Sales at Premier Research Labs in Austin Texas. Neither of them were interested in assisting me with my partial refund.

I spoke to my doctor about this matter and he said I should have consulted with him first. He explained that unlike pharmaceutical medicine, dietary supplements do not have to be proven before they are marketed. He has since given me a prescription for my condition and it works with no side effects. Even if you have to pay for it, the cost is minimal. In my case it's covered by my employee benefits.
