Hi [redacted],

what I understand I am seeing a complaint from [redacted] that we damaged his vehicle when performing a vehicle inspection.  I am just going to re-iterate what I told [redacted] the day he picked up his vehicle.  We have no policy at the shop to inspect vehicles for damage prior to bringing them in for inspection, it is not in our SOP.  It would take entirely too much time to go over each vehicle with each customer to state what damage was on the vehicle prior to inspecting it.  If [redacted] knew the vehicle condition and wanted to point it out to us prior to us inspecting it he definitely could have pointed it out but in our opinion any damage to that vehicle was there prior to us inspecting it.  There is no evidence supporting [redacted]'s claim, we even tried to explain to [redacted] that the so called 'damage' he was speaking of is not consistent with the equipment we use in order to inspect vehicles.

Also for the record just because we choose to accept cash only for our inspections does not mean we are siphoning money tax free.  What people don't realize is both Virginia state safety inspection and emissions inspections are both computer recorded and we must pay the state for the inspections that we perform.  We accept cash only to not end up losing money when we have to pay the state over high credit card/debit card processing fee's.  Taking jab's at our company policies on top of false complaint's should give you a little more insight into the kind of person you are dealing with here.

Review: On Tuesday August 19th I took my car to Pham's for a routine inspection. Upon returning to pick up my vehicle, there was noticeable damage to each rocker panel (the body area under the car doors)in front of each rear wheel. It was obvious that Pham's had lifted the car by the rockers instead of the lift points on the frame when performing the inspection. When I confronted them, they denied any wrong doing and tried lying to me about how they lifted the vehicle. As someone who works on my car regularly, I know when I'm being fed a line. I left Pham's without resolution and with them failing to take any responsibility for the damage. Also - is it standard procedure for a place to require state inspection fees to be paid in cash? Or is this business siphoning money without having to claim it?Desired Settlement: I will be taking my vehicle to an auto body shop for repairs while I am having a general service performed. If there is a cost associated with the body repair, I expect Pham's to cover the expense. Beyond that, I am most interested in raising this issue to the Revdex.com so that this type of thing doesn't happen to other individuals.

Hi [redacted],

I am writing to you in response to complaint ID #[redacted].

From what I understand I am seeing a complaint from [redacted] that we damaged his vehicle when performing a vehicle inspection.

I am always free to discuss this matter via telephone should you need to. I hope this clarifies things for you, and I hope this particular situation here helps you handle situations like this in the future.
