Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:The response from Pharaoh's is full of mistakes The pickup was NOT pulling a trailer nor had it pulled one since the cooler was put in by Pharaoh's Even if it had pulled my trailer, [redacted] himself told me it was fine to pull the trailer and that it was well BELOW the rated weight for my pickup That was something I ask [redacted] several times before getting the coolerThe cooler was incorrectly installed on 6/12/ It did not last a year It lasted barely months and had only a couple hundred miles on it when it came off on 8/21/ All of MY information is being reported from INDEPENDENT dealers, shops and a master mechanic unsolicited by me but voluntarily given me in each case without my askingAnd both shops providing in writing statements that the cooler was INSTALLED INCORRECTLY I again offer [redacted] the opportunity prior to other action to give his side and I will give mine plus the evidence to an independent arbitrator If you think you did not cause the damages ***, then why won't you agree to the offer I made in my last response?? Could it be because you know your shop made the mistake? I am only asking for what is fair A refund of all the money I have been out due to the carelessness of Pharaoh's Regards, [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because: I have THREE independant auto repair shops that have given me written statements without my asking for them that the cooler was installed wrong and that the improper installation resulted in all the problems. If installed properly why did BOTH hoses blow off on separate occasions? Why didn't *** fix the problem when he put in the new transmission? Why would shops ( a car dealership in Paducah, a master mechanic in Lockhart and and a professional transmission shop in Bastrop) all VOLUNTARILY tell me and put in writing that the improper installation was the cause. *** knows it and just refuses to admit it because of the costs involved. He would rather see me be out the more than $4,for his mistake than man up and admit iteven with overwhelming evidence that he caused the problem. As for the hoses blowing off the first time only TWO MONTHS AFTER HIS INSTALLING THE TRANSMISSION COOLER and the second time a little over a year later, the explanation is simple. The hose is pushed over a metal connection with raised ribs that help hold the hose on. The ribs obviously held for a little while plus the clamp in the wrong place slipped down at different intervals. I hardly think independent shops would be out to get ***. Instead, I think they would be more likely to cover a little for someone in their business. But as Two told me, the job was done so poorly they hated to see ripped off. If *** would be willing, I am perfectly willing to let the defenders investigate and see who they find is in the wrong. Want to take me up ***?
Regards,
*** ***

IF COOLER WAS INSTALLED INCORRECTLY WHY DIDN'T THE SHOP THAT CHARGED THE CUSTOMER $FIX IT AND IF THEY DID HOW COME IT BROKE AGAINYEAR IS A LONG TIME FOR A HOSE TO SLIP OFFTRANSMISSION WAS INSTALLED CORRECTLY COOLER WAS NOT REMOVED OR INSTALLED WHEN TRANSMISSION WAS REPLACED

THERE WAS NO PROBLEM WITH LINES OR HOSES WHEN INSTALLED THE NEW TRANSMISSION LINE WILL NOT BLOW OFF AFTER A WHOLE YEAR OF USE IF LINES BLEW OFF HOW DO YOU KNOW IT WAS BECAUSE IT WAS INSTALLED INCORRECTLY WE BELIEVE THAT DUE TO TOWING A VERY HEAVY TRAILER THAT EXCEEDS TOWING CAPACITY IF THE VEHICLE CAUSING STRESS ON TRANSMISSION AND VEHCLE COMPONENTS THE INSTALLATION OF THE TRANSMISSION WAS FREE OF ERRORS AND FUNCTIONED PROPERLY FOR A WHOLE YEAR WE BELIEVE IF ANY DAMAGE IT WAS CAUSED BY THE OPERATOR WE FEEL VERY SORRY ABOUT THE SITUATION WE HAD INTENTION OF REPAIRNG THE TRANSMISSION BUT THE CUSTOMER REFUSED TO BRING THE VEHICLE TO OUR SHOP SO WE DID OFFER TO TAKE CARE OF THE PROBLEM WE WILL STILL LOOK AT THE VEHICLE IF THE CUSTOMER WOULD BRING IT TO OUR FACILITY

I am rejecting this response because:The response from Pharaoh's is full of mistakes.  The pickup was NOT pulling a trailer nor had it pulled one since the cooler was put in by Pharaoh's.  Even if it had pulled my trailer, [redacted] himself told me it was fine to pull the trailer and that it was well BELOW the rated weight for my pickup.  That was something I ask [redacted] several times before getting the cooler. The cooler was incorrectly installed on 6/12/2013.  It did not last a year.  It lasted barely 2 months and had only a couple hundred miles on it when it came off on 8/21/2013.  All of MY information is being reported from INDEPENDENT dealers, shops and a master mechanic unsolicited by me but voluntarily given me in each case without my asking. And  both shops providing in writing statements that the cooler was INSTALLED INCORRECTLY.  I again offer [redacted] the opportunity prior to other action to give his side and I will give mine plus the evidence to an independent arbitrator.  If you think you did not cause the damages [redacted], then why won't you agree to the offer I made in my last response??  Could it be because you know your shop made the mistake?  I am only asking for what is fair.  A refund of all the money I have been out due to the carelessness of Pharaoh's.
