This company advertises under Alure Home Improvement & Alure Design Inc We paid for a complete kitchen renovation -the contract was for $56k+ It is over months later, and our scheduled 3-week total Kitchen Renovation ran months!!! and the Work is still incomplete and has several major flawsKitchen cabinets are installed uneven so the cabinet doors can never even appear to look alighned, floor tiling is UNEVEN and LIFTING while the grout in between is collapsing as a resultKitchen is not in paint ready condition as outlined in contractContractor used cheap and outdated construction methods such as mud floor and copper pipingBacksplash tiling is uneven (they did it over times already) and electrical outlets misalignedThe work completed is amateur and very unsightlyThey have been back several times to try to correct the flaws over a period of months -UNSUCCESSFULLY - it has just gotten worse each time In one instance, they replaced a loose floor tile and used a dark color grout instead of the beige previously used throughoutThey charged us for permits they did not get from the city They did not RENEW the dumpster permit that they were supposed to get in the first place - I went an purchased the permit as a favor so as to not "delay" their job - and they never followed up as promised, did not renew, and I ended up getting city violations of $700+this company is combative, and aggressiveDO NOT USE YOU WILL BE SORRY

In December of 2015, Alure installed a door frame for my mother that is completely incorrect They installed an inch shelf to support the transom, and an inch door jam which sticks out and separates the door and the sidelight, both of which are positioned on the OUTSIDE of my house The 11inch transom shelf poses a problem because rain and snow will accumulate and sit on the shelf causing eventual water damageThis inch shelf also creates an environment for wasps/bees/birds to build a nest on the outside of my house because it is a deep shelf that is covered on top by the door frameThis deep shelf is also an inconvenient nuisance because dirt and debris will sit and accumulate on it

There workers and contractors are very lazy and messy did not care what they left behindThey wanted all the money up front before the job was even completed and threaten to stop the job if all payments were not done in advance long before the job was completed ?? We had an estimated date of ending the project 1/**/is now 3/**/terrible!!!!

In July 2015, we contracted with Alure to complete a bathroom remodelThey obtained permits from the *** ** *** *** for the job, but never closed them out (final building inspector walkthrough)We are now in the process of selling the home and have contacted Alure on four separate occasions to remedy the permitting issue and have not had anyone call me backThe village will not issue a Continuing Certificate of Occupancy (required to sell my property), until the permits have been properly closed

This is a preliminary review I contracted Alure for a kitchen renovation that was supposed to be completed within days days later, it is still not complete and will not be until January
We were promised a project manager on-site This didn't happen because the PM was given another job about miles away and couldn't possibly handle both jobs - ours was smaller and didn't matter all that much
We were left with a bunch of subcontractors ranging from fair - really bad Sometimes they didn't show up or showed up late or just showed up on "unscheduled" days making it impossible for the scheduled subs to do their work Subs came totally unprepared - without designs or drawings, without instructions, without the proper tools or materials, and without adequate experience My husband had to show several of them what to do, how to do it, and even provided the required tools
I would not have ever hired these subcontractors on my own and am really angry that I will be forced to pay for them, as well as pay for a PM that only really turned up now because I complained all the way to the top and withheld payment Had he been on the job site from day 1, it is very possible that none of these issues would have happened
It was extremely difficult to reach anyone with a complaint - and all the while the subs are wreaking havoc in my kitchen - we are greeted with "cheery" voice mails telling us that our calls would be returned promptly HA !! It was only through sheer diligence and persistence and just being downright nasty did I actually get anywhere - being nice and patient doesn't work - they just try to walk all over you
I will not go into all the issues right now - will wait until the job is "complete" - for now, suffice it so say - if you dare choose Alure, please read the contract - every word Make the salesperson wait while you read it They will try to rush you into signing - promising you a discount if you sign that day The discount wasn't worth it - so, please - just read it carefully

I chose #for how likely am I to recommend Alure because there was no zero or negative numbers - I would not recommend Alure - I will and have told people NOT to use Alure

At first all seems ok ..then ceilings cave in and contractors don't show up when they are supposed to or do when they are not scheduled to..Then things are "left till later" and you're told they will be fixed ...which doesn't happen .Incomplete workMultiple delays, excuses and apologies Added "unseen " expenses and cost /price increase Created situations that required changes to original plan which equated to additional cost of project and delay in completion though they made/ created the changes I as owner had to take the blame of the delay Many defective items installed as new ..windows doors molding defective or second rate ...what was promised was not delivered Second rate masonary workNew roof did not make it through one winter without losing a armful of shingles Excessive material waste Created unsafe /unhealthy living conditions for home owners because of debris left on jobsite Failed plumbing inspection ..was given a certain amount of time to rectify the situation and did not ...was almost issued a stop work order by town Current plumbing situation due to incomplete work is creating unhealthy living conditions and is in violation of the national code Kitchen work which was a separate contract and was paid in full was not completed many defective damaged cabinets missing shelves and a counter top that was not cut and installed properly The wrong banister/railing was installed and is still missing spindles Company supervisor came to jobsite and was reassuring that everything would be handled months later no satisfaction I owe an outstanding balance of the final payment but I refuse to pay until the job is complete We were told repeatedly that they would have things wrapped that was in September ...December of that year things were still not complete and they were looking for final payment in January I will show anyone all photos and videos of all the things done and not done with an accurate time line verified by photo time and date stamps and emails and phone records and record of payment all my payments were made on time exactly when they asked for them without any trouble to them no check holds or insufficient funds they were paid on time every time without delay ..they called for a check in January and never came to pick it up or contact us any further regarding final payment or plans for completing the jobVery disappointed in this company and would advise others to look elsewhere for a construction company

We ordered window replacement for our homeIn total it was windowsThe brand Allure offers has a sound abating windowWe hoped that it could abate the noise from the streetBut these windows don't workA representative from Allure came to our home and argued that at that time the house was still under renovation and there were holes on ceilings etc so that the noise level was high and once curtains and furniture were in place it could be better I really hope we could rely on curtains and furniture as the last resortBut after living in the house for one month and half, we are waken by the noise from street every morningSnowing and raining days are worseWe don't expect the windows can reduce all the noise, but if you offer sound abating windows, they should provide a decent performanceOverall we are very disappointed
At the same time we ordered screens for all the windowsThe sales person saw that we have planters outside six windows and even asked it the frames holding the planters would remain, but still he ordered full screens which blocked our access to the plantersVery unprofessional

Alure Home Improvement was supposed to renovate my bathroom in five daysThey told a supervisor was going to check out the job but he only came to collect money and over looked all the mistakesA couple of months later they had ripped the uneven floor tiles, tiles around window, caulking, counter, etcThe supervisor says he is going to call me on a specific date and I have to call him a week later or I don't hear from himThen they say they going to show up at a certain time and they don't come at that time and don't even bother callingFive and a half months later I'm still dealing with them and it seems like it would never end

Alure did a kitchen renovation for us that was supposed to take days - months later we are still have issues and, at this point, they are refusing to address any further issues because they were not on their checklist We are supposed to have a year warranty which they are refusing to honor - I have emails to that point
They laid new flooring which is scratched and is cracking and they accused us of damaging the floor ourselves and refuse to address it The counter top has a terrible seam in it and I have mentioned it numerous times, but to no avail
We have met our payment obligations, with the exception of the last hold back payment
They damaged our side door, but did replace it with another They damaged our air conditioner and we had to replace the outer cover - that will be deducted from the final payment They were supposed to move our cable line - but did not I had Optimum do it and that fee will be deducted from the final payment The sink insert we w
