Customer is omitting some of the storyAs stated, customer asked to return well after days and we still allowed the return to help him out and keep a customer happy We tried to do customer a favor by allowing the return after such a long time when our policies clearly state no returns or refunds after daysWe even minimized the restock fee which is normally 20% or $vs the $we actually charged which simply covered our original shipping Customer knows full well that the reason we could not refund the card was/is that the credit card companies policies will not allow refunds after daysCustomer even tried to dispute the transaction with their cc company and cc company sided with us because of the long time involved Since we could not process a refund, we had to issue a store credit insteadAfter all of the above, customer finally asked us mid this month (March) if we could send him the original tank bank and we already sold it to another customerIf he needed this tank, he could have simply placed a new order for the same part# but he did notCustomer instead purchased $worth of different items which used up most of his $creditI am sorry customer is upset but store credit was/is all we can offer and he already used most of that up with his most recent purchaseHe still has $worth of credit to use on any future order I truly wish we did not even offer the opportunity for the customer to return this item in the first placeThis is truly one of those situations where no good deed goes unpunished

Unfortunately this item was a price mistake on customers attempted orderCustomer acknowledged the price was $lower (30% lower) than everyone else they had foundWe apologize that price mistakes happen and that it wasn't caught until the order was triedAs per our terms of use policy, we canceled the order and customer was not chargedWe are sorry this order did not work out as both of us would have preferred

Customer is omitting some of the story. As stated, customer asked to return well after 90 days and we still allowed the return to help him out and keep a customer happy.  We tried to do customer a favor by allowing the return after such a long time when our policies clearly state no returns or...

refunds after 30 days. We even minimized the restock fee which is normally 20% or $81 vs the $25 we actually charged which simply covered our original shipping.  Customer knows full well that the reason we could not refund the card was/is that the credit card companies policies will not allow refunds after 90 days. Customer even tried to dispute the transaction with their cc company and cc company sided with us because of the long time involved.  Since we could not process a refund, we had to issue a store credit instead. After all of the above, customer finally asked us mid this month (March) if we could send him the original tank bank and we already sold it to another customer. If he needed this tank, he could have simply placed a new order for the same part# but he did not. Customer instead purchased $331.80 worth of 4 different items which used up most of his $380.60 credit. I am sorry customer is upset but store credit was/is all we can offer and he already used most of that up with his most recent purchase. He still has $48.80 worth of credit to use on any future order.  I truly wish we did not even offer the opportunity for the customer to return this item in the first place. This is truly one of those situations where no good deed goes unpunished.

If  Phat Performance didn't want to accept the return, they shouldn't have sent the email stating that they would. They should have stated that they have a 90 day return policy. I still have the email. I would like to forward this to the Revdex.com. They didn't try to refund the money to the credit card company.  My card number did change during that time because it had been comprimised. But my credit card  company most certainly would have accepted a refund. They didn't side with phat performance either. They just couldn't legally stop payment because it has to be within 4 weeks. That is just another untruth told by Phat Performance. They stated that they had changed their minds weeks after receiving the tank. They would issue store credit only. If their email would have stated no return or store credit only, I would have sold the tank myself. But because they lied in their email, I was left with no choice but store credit. Of course I purchased items with the store credit. It was either that, or gift phat performance $405.00. It seems to me that phat performance's word as written in their email is completely worthless. They have no problem lying to customers and then blaming customers for being lied to. If it's not their policy to accept returns after 30 or 90 days, fine. But don't send out emails stating that you will give a refund and then then go back on your word. Once they stated in writing that they would issue a refund, they should have done just that.
